“At least someone is looking out for me.” a small smile appeared on his lips as he reached for the croissants taking them from her. “I knew i liked you for a reason Montgomery.” he teased her. “Hows Helen?” he tilted his head to the side as he met the others eyes for a brief moment. “Do you think you’d both want to get ice-cream sometime this week? I can work around your schedule of course.”

“Oh she’s good as usual,” Leda laughed. “She still can’t believe her whole family works with superheroes. I’m still trying to figure out if she thinks the superheroes on the shows are real or not.” Her smile grew at the suggestion, after years of worrying about ever getting to tell him about Helen, she was really glad they got this chance. “That sounds great, we’d both love that. Honestly any time that’s not when she’s at school works, I have my schedule around that usually. She’ll be so excited.”

Bryana smiled as she accepted the water. “Thank you, and of course! Is my job as is theirs to do whatever their role requires them to do, they may hate me but at the end of the day you can see the results and it’s worth it, right now we have a lot of roles that require the actors to be at their peak physically, super heroes and spies, they have to act the part and look the part.”

Leda nodded, she was glad the studio had jobs outside the show-making world because she knew she’d never fit into it. “Right, that makes sense. I watch all the superhero ones, my daughter loves them. Do you train everyone here?” she asked out of curiosity.

“Do you think if i ask nicely they’ll give me more croissants?” he turned to look at the closest person a smile appearing on his lips. “I can be quite the charmer when i want to be.” he shrugged his shoulders before glancing down at his hands. “Doesn’t hurt to ask right?” 

Leda chuckled, shaking her head. “I know you can, charmer. Here, I couldn’t just let you starve now could I?” she handed him another two croissants from the tray she’d been moving. “You didn’t hear it from me, but I’ve been told tomorrow morning it’s going to be scones, you won’t want to miss that,” she winked.

“Come on! I wanna see you sweat, just because the season is wrapping doesn’t mean you get to slack! People actually spend their free time trying to notice differences in shows and movies now. Do ten more and then you can take a little break for water!”

Leda watched as the actor in question struggled to finally do as told, then she brought over some fancy mineral water he had requested. When he was off drinking it, she turned to Bryana. “Wow, you sure know how to kick them into shape. Water?” she asked as she held out a bottle.

Luke took a sip of his coffee with a frown before looking at the person standing next to him with a confused expression. “At the coffee shop a woman said I looked just like one of those guys from Operation Unknown, I said I was, and she just looked at me up and down and went ‘Nah, he’s taller’” Luke said in an American accent shaking his head. “And then she gave me her number cause she thought I was trying to impress her and said my British accent was spot on… I just… Don’t know what just happened.”

Leda couldn’t help chuckling at the story. “You’d think if she was trying to get you to call her, she would have believed you or played along.” She then took a look at the logo on the cup he was holding. “Good choice, I’ve always found the coffee we have here is impossible to make good. So, are you going to call her?”

After several meetings with the shows lawyers, Elijah was finally free and in a good mood. He closed the door to the meeting room and wandered away from it. “Drink at the Dawn anyone?” Elijah looked around to see if there were any takers.

Leda was getting her stuff together to go home for the night when she heard his offer. She looked around but didn’t see anyone else paying attention, not that there were many people there. “I’ve got an early day tomorrow, but you look like you succeeded in something in there.”
