There are several kinds of two and three-dimensional shapes that we see around us every day. Some two-dimensional shapes have their extension in three dimensions.
For instance : 3D extension of a circle is a sphere and that of rectangle and square are cuboid and cube respectively. In the same way, we come across with three-dimensional extension of a parallelogram. It is known as "Parallelepiped" which has six parallelogram-shaped faces. In mathematics, a parallelepiped is seen and dealt very commonly.
