The most literal translation (though not necessarily how I'd translate it) is "even if one died halfway through, [we] can meet again inside OFA. It's romantic"

also just something I found interesting: she uses 逢える instead of 会える. both of them are read as "aeru" and mean "meet". 会 is a general-purpose "meet", while 逢 is used for people you know more intimately or someone you have strong feelings about (this user says that because 逢う is used in a one-on-one setting, it has a romantic connotation: ja.hinative.com/questions/4679499)

edit: I just read the replies on this post and @jitziqusupyo literally said the exact same things already. Sorry I wasn't trying to take credit or talk over you BUT the fact that we noticed the same thing means that this wording is probably super intentional and I am so excited to see their meeting

Katsuki's vs Izuku's rest day

Doodled these a few weeks back when I had to stop exercising due to a myriad of chronic and acute injuries. I was told that my conditioning routine on rest days is crazy, and rest days should just be rest days. Deku probably doesn't take true rest days either.

(long af complaint about my personal life below)

It's funny to think I basically shared Deku's mindset of non-stop training and pushing your body to its limits. I have irreversibly damaged hamstrings from unknowingly training with an unhealed injury a few years ago. (It felt like my muscles were starched together and I was tearing them apart every time, but I persisted through the pain with misplaced determination for a whole year.) Now I'm trying to find my way through several new and old problems all over my body, some of them from one-off events like landing a fall on my neck, but most of them probably cumulative.

Like Deku, I felt like I needed to give everything I have to become stronger or else I'm literal trash. And that I had to "make up for starting from 0", catch up to others with athletic backgrounds. This worked out for him, since none of his strength training seems to have harmed him (now if only he'd stop destroying himself in fights). Alas, real life is not an anime training montage. It's frustrating to have to take an indefinite break and wonder if I'll ever regain my old range of motion, never mind make any progress.

I don't have a real point to make other than "be kind to your body" and "working as hard as Deku is unsustainable there's a reason why so many fics focus on his body breaking down as he ages", so sorry if you've made it this far. This is just a cranky rant because it's 3 am and I'm in bed but my hip pain is driving me insane.

in summary: DON'T train with the vigor of a shounen protagonist if you want to avoid permanent injury and chronic pain.

A year ago around this time, I started watching BNHA. If you told me then that I’d someday bake a cake for Bakugou Katsuki’s birthday, I would’ve scoffed because he’s a lil bitch and who even celebrates anime birthdays? Anyway, it's 11:30pm and I'm about to finish this 8-serving sugary nightmare by myself.

crying laughing rn I just googled black whip awakening to check whether I drew the wrong hand (I did not) and came across an old Izu/cha twitter thread predicting that Ochako getting hurt would be a trigger to another one of Deku's quirk awakenings, even though "the whole scenario may sound very cliche".

This isn't a strike against Iz/Cha, just a hilarious spotlight on how Hori really made Kacchan the One for Deku, and how romantically-coded it would be if Katsuki were the female lead.

(Just as a recap, we've only seen 3 quirk awakenings happen. Kacchan gets insulted->black whip, Kacchan may get hurt->float, Kacchan does get hurt->danger sense. The rest of the quirks are also Katsuki-related: Full cowl & fa jin->move like Kacchan, smokescreen-> more of a stretch but reminiscent of stun grenade or smoke after explosions, 2nd's mysterious quirk->do I even need to elaborate?)
