Dropped a little track on a whim today… I think of April as the first real month of Spring, so it’s kind of in honor of that I guess.
okay I'm gonna level with yall who haven't listened - this was an april fools joke, and it's a stealth remix of never gonna give you up. HOWEVER i think I did a good job and you should still listen to it. at some point I'm probably gonna repurpose these sounds for something suitable for an actual release, actually.

Hello! I’m releasing a new EP tonight. It’s called Roto Blitter. We live on a nightmare planet. Let’s dance.
Click here or on the photo to stream, buy, or download.
I’ve been jamming the fuck out to this for the past month or so and I’m so glad it’s finally public. Also I did a remix on it!
there’s something about Mathiasen’s music that just fuckin blows my mind in terms of the complexity of the textures in a song its just on another level to mine entirely and the amount of Powerful Musical Experiences i’ve had while listening to Mathiasen versus any other artist is probably at a ratio of about 9:1. (Collected Recordings)
I put up some ambient dub tape music tonight. This is probably some of the bleakest sounding stuff I’ve recorded. I didn’t mean for it to turn out that way. Also maybe the only thing I’ve released featuring no samples of other music. Hm. Buy here if you’re into that sort of thing.

There’s been a vast array of sounds Infinitefreefall has worked with in the past few years. When you look for a connection between them though, a story appears—one that makes sense the further you listen into the details. Textures are the string that ties all his beats, tracks, ambience, mashups together, in full showing inside Infinitefreefall’s debut original release. Travelogue, made in an avalanche of feelings before a five-day trek across the U.S., speaks of the excitement, joy, fear, and terror in moving to renew and build yourself. Wherever you may hear it? All it asks is that you find yourself there.

I've gotten to hear a couple versions of this, and... he really just nailed it, didn't he? I don't know how much more there is to say about it. I'm sinking into it. It makes me think of floating in an endless sea of LCL.
2016 is real soon—revisit Mathiasen’s Ash Beach / Omnis, featuring a remix from Infinitefreefall and Spinning Voices.
The first single from the album Omnis.

Ash Beach / Omnis is available digitally on iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Spotify, and more.
Mathiasen is on Twitter, Tumblr, and Bandcamp.

It me! Hear me!
double length ambient track to count for yesterday’s and today’s advent. enjoy. i only did really minimal work on this in the computer, it was 95% my guitar, my amp, and my tascam.
advent caledar day 10:
“a really cool van”
this is kind of a silly track. it's called what it is because if it were a physical object it would be a really cool van. it just sounds like how a really cool van makes you feel. imagine the van.
samples "Almost Blue" by Elvis Costello
and here’s today’s advent track. google the title. it is satisfying.
yesterday’s advent track, which i forgot to post
Advent calendar, day 7:
“All the Way Home”
Demo I made back in... May? Yeah, I think May, for an EP that I ended up abandoning (same place I got Learning to Make Space, that I posted a few days ago, plus Making Plans, which has been up on my soundcloud for a while now).
Feel a little bit bad about abandoning the project at this point because the tracks still sound good to me, but at any rate I should be getting most of them out through this advent thing now.
Advent calendar day 6
“Stress Signals”
This is a demo from back in August - didn’t have time for a new track today.
advent calendar day 5:
“come stay in here”
this is the happiest, most upbeat thing i’ve recorded in quite a while.
advent calendar, day 4
“for sale: clown shoes, never worn”
i sure do keep making tracks, don’t i. that sure is a thing that’s happening.
advent calendar, day 3:

this is a brand new track - just recorded it today. everything was recorded to tape - 11 loops, plus one longer sample - and then bounced back through ableton for processing.
