Research found there is an estimated 5.25 trillion particles of “plastic smog” weighing in at 270,000 tons in our oceans worldwide. And recycling is not enough!  

Marine debris is not only unsightly, it’s dangerous to sea life, hazardous to human health, and costly to our economies. Marine animals become entangled in debris, and even mistake it for food - often with fatal results.

To reduce the amount of plastic that you contribute to the problem, pledge to go #plasticfree: Refuse the top five sources of single use plastic: plastic bags, water bottles, to go containers, takeaway cups and straws.

HOW TO HELP TORTURED GAY MEN IN CHECHNYA

We can’t allow this to continue. A petition has also been launched by change.org and signed by tens of thousands of people.

It demands a full investigation of all the facts and unlawful repression in Chechnya of the LGBT population and calls for punishment for the ‘guilty parties’ and the end to the practice of extra-judicial violence.

Uganda’s Anti-Homosexuality Act: ‘Null and Void’

In a victory activists were unsure they’d get, Uganda’s Constitutional Court overturned the country’s draconian Anti-Homosexuality Act today, declaring the anti-LGBT law “null and void” because of a parliamentary technicality in how it was passed.  

The court determined that when members of Parliament passed the law in December 2013, Speaker Rebecca Kadaga had not established quorum — a required minimum number of members present to vote — effectively invalidating the law.

Florida Sheriff: “Blacks Should Learn To Act Like White People In Order To Stay Alive” – Knowledge

Escambia Sheriff David Morgan believes that part of his job description includes teaching black people how to be good citizens. During a YouTube video, Morgan explained that the job of African-Americans in this country is to mimic white Americans whenever possible.

Changing who you are/ how you act to please white men is the problem. It is victim blaming (it's Trayvon's fault he got killed because he was not 'acting white' enough?). 

Setting whiteness as the thing to strive for, the 'right' model is the problem. 

Also i have a feeling no black person could act white enough for this guy...
