A typical day for Leon outside of the hospital would consist of an early morning workout, a visit to a coffee shop for a quick pick-me-up, and then typically catching up on work he hadn't been able to catch up on in the past. If all days could go like that, they would be perfect. Most of the time, they wouldn't. Luckily, he had come to terms with that fact.
The brunette pushed the glass door open with his elbow, a feeling of accomplishment washing over his body at the completion of his workout. Yet as he is about to head out, he feels a vibration in his pocket, causing him to lose complete attention to what was occurring in front of him as he whipped out his phone. Then, before he knew it, his arm had come flying to hit what was in front of him with a loud smack, sending the electronic flying.
"Woah! Are you alright?" A flash of embarrassment takes control of his body, gray hues naturally scanning the blonde in front of him in search of any injuries he may have left. "Sorry, I, uh... I wasn't paying attention. I really hope I didn't hurt you."
Matilda was taking what she thought was a well-deserved mental health day, something she was thankful Jeremy understood. Their job was intense at the best of times, so asking for a day off a month to go about her business and relax a little had been a little intimidating at first, but she was glad her boss had been receptive to the idea. Usually she'd attend morning yoga by the lake, but she'd stayed up late the night prior going over some documents and had wanted to sleep in. Tilly had decided to make up the wellness portion of her morning by going to the gym, something she'd once told herself would be the last thing she would ever want to do.
Just as she reached for the door handle at the gym, it swung upen and she collided with a rather strong arm. "God damn," she stumbled back and lost her footing somewhat, her own phone flying off in the the opposite direction from where his had. Thankfully this time she didn't fall over completely, but it wasn't the first time she'd been knocked about by a stranger that week so Tilly found herself frustrated (let alone in a decent bit of pain as her ankle clicked while she tried to right herself), "Am I fucking invisible or something...?" she hummed, steadying herself. Of course she wasn't directing any anger toward the second man that week to knock her over, but she was starting to wonder if she really was impossible to notice as she went about her daily routines.
Tilly limped a little as she went to retrieve her phone, hoping the brand new device hadn't smashed against the concrete, but by the time she had grabbed it and turned her foot was feeling better so she was thankful that nothing felt all that disastrous. When she finally looked up at the person speaking to her, she felt the colour drain from her face at the all-too-familiar face. She knew this man. At least for a few long years she thought she'd known his face. It had been a long time since she'd actively thought about the man she assumed to not be real behind the dating app they'd matched on and for the first time in years Tilly found herself speechless," I..." she began, cheeks heating a deep red as she tried to compose herself.
