The highlight of Bagan is more the plain with its many temples than each temple individually (although there are a few awesome ones of those). The Old Bagan Archaeological Zone fascinated visitors with innumerous pagodas and stupas lined along roads. The temple exploration was fun and intriguing even though the afternoon weather was boiling hot. (at Bagan, Mandalay, Burma)

The sun doesn't choose to shine , but I could . Would have loved to try a sunset here as well but didn't have enough time in Bagan. The place (#shwesando #pagoda) is marvelous. This is currently the main temple from which people catch sunset, this is due to the height of the temple that you can climb up to the top and spend a while just sitting up there and admiring the view. I counted 240 pagodas and stupas in a 90° angle, meaning there is easily more than thousands of them around this place, as there are more below the treetops. i heard that rather go for North of South Guni for sunrise cause cause it's so crowded during sunrise/sunset time.
