Both of their kisses are super dark. Do we think it’s because due to covid rules, the actual kissing is done by stand-ins and the stars are only there for the moments before and after? (Like on the balcony kiss there’s a sudden different angle of them a second after breaking apart that is better lit)? It’s also possible that they’re actually not kissing in the second scene, just placing their faces next to each other. I really hope we get a movie and it’ll be filmed post covid times

Haha um, I can’t say that that thought has crossed my mind at all. I have gif-ed both scenes (lots of playing with brightness/exposure and slowing down of frames) and it is clearly Pihla/Lauri, and they are definitely kissing. The scene above is also done in a single take, and you can see their faces illuminated when they enter and exit the scene. Whether COVID restrictions are the reason both kisses are brief/interrupted so quickly is possible...but unless there’s some crazy deepfake stuff going on or Pihla and Lauri both have identical twins, I’m 100% certain this is them.

I agree about the movie though!

OMG the additional screen stills for S3 have me in absolute turmoil. I AM NOT READY...and while there looks like there's some promising stuff...I'm also worried...

Mostly, I'm all torn up because the last picture in the photo set (which looks to be chronological) mirrors the end of S1 WAY too closely for comfort. It actually has me a little on edge...because I will be SO DONE if, after three seasons of development, they don't end up together. Honestly. I don't think I could take it.

If anyone has seen these photos and wants to speculate/ruminate/theorise/stress out with me pleeeeease send a message....!!

Following a good ol’ ponder, I have temporarily quelled my anxiety as I now think (and hope) that if the writers are clever, they will mirror the S1 ending but change the outcome as a way to demonstrate Karppi and Nurmi’s character growth.

Karppi has been framed from the start as someone unable ask for help or trust others. Nurmi has an inability to form meaningful bonds (or at the very least avoids it) and basically bails when things get hard.

So surely it would make their character arcs somewhat redundant if at the end of it all, after learning to trust and love(!) and be there for each other, they just walk away from each other yet again a la S1 and the series ends? Surely not...

Possibly (probably) in denial, but you know, gotta make it through the next few months somehow....!
