[[ Been working a lot and have a horrible cold, I will hopefully get replies done soon ]]
â How many people have you killed?
âIâm over 1500 years old and have fought in countless warsâ Matthew frowned as he thought about it, the number was too great to count âI could not say off the top of my head but surprisingly most were killed by hand or using a weapon, the human way of killing.â @erinthevampire
matthew-clairmont:
âI have not really looked into that yetâ Matthew shook his head âwerewolves are more distrusting than vampires, though strangely a lot of vampire behaviours are like grey wolves. So I think that perhaps there are connections.â
âWell, if you ever need some werewolf blood for you experiments I can find you some. One of them works for me at my bookshop.â
Matthew nodded âthat could prove most useful, perhaps I will have to stop by and introduce myself to them.â
matthew-clairmont:
Matthew looked at her, though his thoughts were elsewhere, this was not a situation that he had found himself in before, once he had been a major part of society but over the years he had withdrawn more and more, burying himself in his research and sticking mostly to the company of his colleagues, who were also vampires, as he had seen far too many humans, many he had called friends, die.
âYou are notâ he replied after a moment âI am over 1500 years old, I can fool even others of my kind⌠And really I do not see why this has to change anything, I am not like those who you hunt⌠I despise them as much as you do.â
âEven if thatâs trueâŚâ And Cara wanted to believe that it was. She wanted to believe that the man sheâd been getting to know wasnât a killer. That he despised them as much as she did. But even if that was trueâŚ
ââŚA hunter and a vampire? Thereâs no way this can end well, Matthew.â There were already aspects of the job that she didnât do to the liking of other hunters. For one, she recognized certain supernatural creatures could choose to be good or evil â just like humans; she only took out those that were bad. She also chose to do exorcisms rather than kill demons outright, at the expense of their hosts. But to have any sort of relationship with a vampire? Sheâd just bring trouble to them both.
Matthew chuckled softly âstranger things have happened, Caraâ he shrugged, this was actually very normal in comparison âI have seen many things during my time.â
He paused for a moment before he spoke again, his tone more serious âbut you are right, it will not end well, there is a Council that is dedicated to preventing any form of relationship between different supernatural beings, they believe that we should all keep ourselves to ourselves. I imagine they feel the same about hunters and vampires.â
âś Vampire!Irene Starter Call â Â
 ⧠ for @matthew-clairmontâ
âMy my, you must have traveled quite a ways to arrive here so soon. So sorry I wasnât in London to meet you, but there was an event out here that I had to oversee. Please, come in.âÂ
Irene flashed a smile, her fangs gleaming briefly before they were hidden from view again as she closed her lips and gestured for him to enter the ancient mansion. Yet despite the external architecture which was quite obviously from many years ago, the inside was very elegant and modern in some ways, a blending of new and old done by an expert. She closed the door behind him, her head tilted as she observed him for a moment.
Far younger than her, that was obvious. But nearly if not all were by this point. She guided him over to one of the sitting areas and took a seat opposite of where sheâd gestured, a small smile on her lips and interest in her eyes.
âCan I get you anything? Or would you prefer to discuss why you are here to talk with me?â
âThe perks of having a private helicopter at hand, it really was no bother to travel and thank you for the invitation.â
Matthew stepped inside, he knew that there were many vampires older than him, his mother being one of them, she never left her home in France and he had found that to be true for many of the older vampires. He returned her smile, he did not have fangs himself, a quirk of his ancestry, but his teeth were sharper than a humans and served their purpose just as well as fangs.
âSomething to drink would be nice, wine if you have it. Then we can talk. Your home is very impressive. I have grown accustomed to living in a much simpler manner.â

matthew-clairmont:
Matthew had a tendency to let his curiosity get the better of him, he also had a horrible habit of overstepping boundaries and invading peopleâs privacy in his attempts to protect or discover more about an individual. Or simply when his blood lust got the better of him, it was something that he had a lot more control over now and he at least no longer had to kill the person he fed from.
He stopped, his light eyes meeting the womanâs âplease do not be alarmedâ he replied and held up a hand, maintaining some distance between them âI do not mean any trouble, though you probably will not believe that.â
Helene was confused by the man, unsure why he got suddenly defensive. It just made her feel even more uncomfortable about him. That was when she knew he was up to no good. âThen why are you hesitant?â Helene inquired, her arms crossing over her chest. She was neither concern or scared, the feeling that she had she was unsure about. She wasnât scared of anything. Actually, not many things scare her. But there was something about him, something dark and mysterious.Â
âCan I help you with someone?â
âBecause I realised that my following you would probably come across poorlyâ Matthew replied with a small shrug.
âI am Matthew Clairmont, a scholar here. I have heard rumours of some awful things happening and wanted to ensure that you remain safeâ he bowed his head slightly âI just chose a very bad way to go about it.â

Sabrina laughed humorlessly at his question. âYou found me bleeding to death in a dark alley⌠did you think I had been attacked ? It would have been so much better.âÂ
She closed her eyes trying to get her nerves on check but failed. âIâm a killer Matthew⌠first for Queen and Country as they say⌠to make my father proud even if I wasnât the heir he wanted. Then just to survive as I didnât know what else to do and even for that I sucked⌠I didnât really care what would happen to you if you help me⌠I just didnât want to die ! I didnât think you would be⌠like thisâŚâÂ
She sighed loudly trying to listen to his voice, to take her mind of her anger and her dark thoughts but the mention of hunting was really delicious, sweeter than she expected.Â
âTeach me anything⌠do what you want⌠but donât let my mind tear itself to pieces like that for Godâs sake !â She nearly growled.
Matthew blinked slowly as she laughed, it was a dull, humourless laugh. âI did not have time to ask why you were bleeding out⌠perhaps I incorrectly assumed that you had been attacked, I sensed that there had been others present previouslyâ perhaps he might have acted differently had he known more but there was also something about this woman, he just couldnât quite place what it was yet.
âA soldier? Then you know how it is to kill a personâ he replied, frowning slightly as he thought about what that could mean, she could prove difficult though hopefully not harder to control than Benjamin, another vampire he had sired, though he had turned him as a punishment and of course that had only caused resentment. âOf course you did not know, none of us truly understand, we are dying and most humans will say or do anything to survive.â
He hissed at her as her anger levels rose again, she was hungry and the smells and sounds of the forest would only make this worse. âYou will stay here, we are in the middle of nowhere but that does not mean that there are no humans aroundâ he could not risk something happening and so he quickly moved to the door âI will be back soon.â
Sabrina listened to Matthewâs warning and nodded as quietly as she could, she wasnât fond of following rules, never had been but something was telling her it was for her own good.Â
As soon as he was gone, Sabrina felt lonely even if she knew if he was coming back. It was a strange feeling, but not as strange as the way her thoughts seemed to bump into each other, making her feel so unsure of anything. She was smart but more a into-the-action kind of woman and staying in this unknown house, alone, with all these changes in her body and this ever growing hungerâŚ
A growl found its way in her throat as she smelled something she didnât recognize but who seemed delicious.
Matthew was not gone for long, Hamish kept the grounds well maintained and full of wildlife, the animals were scared but easy to catch.
He returned with several rabbits, still alive and unlocked the door, he locked it again behind him. "This should be enough for now" he said as he stood in front of her "your instincts will tell you what to do."

âBecause IâŚâ Cara trailed off as she considered how to finish that statement. Because she thought sheâd finally connected with someone else. Because, after years of solitude, it was nice to talk. To feel normal. To not be a hunter, but simply Cara. Eventually, she uttered, ââŚBecause Iâm a fool.â

@matthew-clairmont || LIKED STARTER CALL.
There was a dark feeling, almost eerie. But Helene decided to ignore it as she continues to walk. Purse in one hand while her heels clicked on the hard ground with each step she took. But there was a shadow behind her, a shadow that didnât match with hers. Her foot steps slowed down, and she noticed that there was a sound of steps behind her that was a bit faster. Helene stopped entirely, hesitantly looking behind her until matching her eyes with a tall figure, who stopped as well when they made eye contact.Â
âCan I help you?â The dark-haired woman called out, her hands shaking in anticipation.Â
