Thoughts on running
I read an article about how jogging is bad for your knees, lower back, ankles, calfs, etc. I have been running my whole and u don't think I can give it up. The reason I say that is running for me is not about the workout but for the freedom of getting out of my head. By that I mean, I don't think about work, what happen the day before, what I have to do tomorrow. I have only the present and the present of the scenery I see as I run through the different terrain I decide for that day. I run for scenery, whether it's running on the boardwalk down at the beach, or through my town where farms rule the landscape. I usually leave at sunrise which makes it even more scenic. To watch deer feeding and horse galloping through the fields while the sunrises behind the landscape is pretty cool and surreal. I know in a few years my knees may hurt a little more, but hopeful shoe technology will improve. As an end note, I have changed my running style to a mid step jog which has helped tremendously.
