Christmas eve <3

"Mom! We need to put the food out for Santa!" Conner ran down the hall towards Y/N and Matt standing in the kitchen. It was the 24th and Conner had been bursting with excitement the whole day. Matt and Y/N were cooking dinner together, Conner had already eaten, but seemed to have gotten a bit, distracted. They were having a little kissing sesh, and Conner had just stumbled upon the two.

Matt had his arms linked around Y/N's waist and held her close to him tightly. Y/N had her hands cupping Matt's face passionately. The hadn't heard Conner. "Yuck." Their son stuck his tongue out in disgust. The pair pulled away from each other slowly and laughed under their breathes at Conner's reaction. "You can do that laterrr." Conner whined. "But Santa's coming!" He squealed and jumped in the air.

"Okay buddy, you get a plate, Mommy with get the cookies and I'll get the milk. M'kay?" Matt crouched down to Conner, he saw his features had been more bold from his excitement. His dimples seemed deeper, his eyebrows shot up, and his cheeks red. "Okay daddy!" Conner trotted over to get a plate. Matt and Y/N got their supplies and placed them on the counter.

Y/N had placed the cookies neatly in a row of 3 on the plate, Matt had placed a small glass of milk to the side. "What do you think sweetie?" Y/N looked down at Conner. His hands came to hold onto the edge of the counter to look up. "It's perfect." He buzzed.

"Okay buddy, let's get a carrot and go put this by the door." Matt reached into the fridge and handed the full plate back down to Conner. "Be careful buddy." Matt warned. They reached the door and Conner placed the plate down. He turned back up to Matt and smiled happily. "Great job." Matt held his hand out for Conner to high-five it. "Now I think it's time for bed," Conner interrupted Matt with a groan. "But, the sooner you go to bed, the sooner Santa comes. And then it's Christmas!" Matt announced. Conner's eyes went wide and immediately ran off to get into bed. His eagerness made Matt giggle.

He walked over to say goodnight to Conner's bedroom to say his goodnight's. Matt gave Conner a quick peck to his head and then left the room. Matt found Y/N again in the kitchen. "I'll say night in a minute." She announced. "Well, before you do that, maybe we can continue? Just like before we got interrupted?" Matt cheekily grinned. Y/N laid down her cutting knife and looked towards Matt. "Maybe we can go further when I come back." She raised her eyebrows playfully and walked to Conner's bedroom without looking behind her.

Leaving a flustered Matt standing in the kitchen, alone. Waiting patiently for his 'early' Christmas present.

"Merry Christmas to me." Matt mumbled and blushed slightly.

"What do you think about this one sweetheart?" Matt asked. Him and Sweetheart were out trying to pick a Christmas tree to take back to her apartment.

"I dunno Matty." Sweetheart stared at the floor. "It's kinda ugly." Matt brushed the branches with his gloved hand, then looked towards Sweetheart. "Okay sweetheart, we can find another." He laughed it off.

They walked around hand in hand for a little while, and stayed close to each other. Families crowded the wide forest space all looking for their yearly Christmas tree. Matt had introduced this tradition to Sweetheart, as she had used a plastic tree every year.

Matt spotted a loan tree piled to the side of the 9 foot trees, he walked over and pulled it to stand tall. Matt looked over to Sweetheart, silently asking for her opinion. She slowly strolled to Matt's side and gazed at the bristled tree for a while. Sweetheart looked over at Matt, nodded and smiled. "It's perfect," She broke the silence. "I can't wait to decorate it."

"Matt! Wait, you're moving too fast!" Sweetheart whined. She held the stump of the Christmas tree under arm, gripping tightly. Matt had the top of the tree resting on his shoulder, marching enthusiastically, his hand held the top making sure it wouldn't fall. The tree was wrapped neatly in a net.

The couple was nearing their car. Matt was chatting reassurances to Sweetheart and instructions of direction. "Okay sweetheart, now move slowly to your right. Mind out for the other cars." Matt stated. She nodded and acted on her instructions.

They laid the tree on the ground by Matt's car. "You can wait in the car Sweetheart, i'll be right with you when I get this on the roof." Matt smiled at Sweetheart. "Okay." She whispered shyly and then made her way to the passenger seat.

After a few minutes of the car shaking and the branches ruffling. The tree was secured onto the roof safely. Matt skipped to the drivers seat. He sat down eagerly. Sweetheart looked over blushing. "Thanks Matty, for helping me today." She leaned over the centre console and gave Matt a soft kiss to his cheek. He looked into Sweetheart's eyes lovingly and developed the same blush onto his cheeks. "No problem," He spoke. "Anytime." Then Matt winked playfully and started the engine to leave the property.

Matt was on his phone laying on Sweetheart's bed. She was doing some late night skin care at her vanity applying moisturiser and under eye patches. She knew that Matt would head home when she was finished. Sweetheart was wrapped in her silk, baby pink robe with her hair curled into rollers. Her hands worked in strokes at rubbing her formulas into her face.

Matt sat up and placed is phone face down onto her bed. He was watching sweetheart through the mirror's reflection. Matt started to smile unknowingly at how much she cared about her looks, how much pride she had in making her hair looks nice. Sweetheart was oblivious that a pair of eyes were watching her, she continued her actions with ease.

Candles were lit around the wide spaced room, Sweetheart always hated using the main light, it created a soft, relaxed ambience. The clanging of glass bottles broke the silence of the atmosphere. Matt was still staring, with a pink hue of blush spread across his cheeks. He has never loved like this over a single activity. But sadly he was snapped out of his sweet daydream, as he noticed the time. 11:00 pm.

Matt clapped his hands quietly to indicate that he would head off home now. "Sorry sweetheart, gotta go now." He stood up from the bed and came over to give a quick peck to sweetheart. She pouted jokingly. "I'll see you on Tuesday okay? Sorry i can't come by tomorrow." Matt leaned down and gave Y/N one more kiss, but this time it lingered.

Then sweetheart pulled away. "M'kay, you're forgiven." She said tiredly. "See ya tomorrow." She brought her elbow to rest of the desk and cupped her chin in her hand while Matt made his way to the bedroom door. He blew her a kiss as one last goodbye and then left.

Matt made his way out of the apartment and made his way down to the lobby. He stopped off at the cluster mailboxes and found sweetheart's name. Matt slid a letter into the space.

It was a love letter, Matt always liked to leave them as a surprise for sweetheart every time he couldn't see her for some time. He knew that she loves them. Sweetheart loves that Matt does small things like this. But he didn't do it because he was in a relationship, he wad doing it because he was a hopeless romantic.

Matt closed the flap to the mailbox and walked to his car in the parking lot.

Y/N and Chris had finished setting up their hot chocolate station for December, now they could make some nice warm drinks. They had bought a whole bunch of ugly Christmas mugs to match the vibe. There was marshmallows, sprinkles, whipped cream, oreos and much more variety of sweet treats for them to feast upon.

Y/N had poured milk into both mugs and then placed them into a glass jug to then place into the microwave. Chris leaned over the counter and watched every move she made. Y/N pressed the buttons onto the machine and then it started to heat. She turned back around to see Chris in absolute awe of her.

"What?" She snorted. Chris blushed as he got caught, then stood up straight to walk over to Y/N. He wrapped his arms around her waist and linked them behind her back. Chris ducked his head down to kiss Y/N's lips softly. Her hands came up to cup his face, bringing him closer to her.

Their lips moved and smacked against each other slowly, so did their bodies. The pair both had their eyes closed. Y/N brought her hands away from Chris' face to grip, tug, softly onto his hair. She pulled his head down further so she wouldn't balance on her tiptoes.

Then the microwave timer goes off. Ding! The couple pull away from each other, breathless and amazed. "I forgot about the hot chocolates for a second." Y/N blushed slightly and she looked at the floor. "Yeah." Chris agreed. He had a wide grin plastered on his face from the heated moment.

Y/N smacked his arm playfully and fixed her hair. "C'mon Chris! I need help with these hot chocolates!" She squealed excitingly.

Matt cooking dinner for Y/N <3

Matt had been shuffling around the kitchen every since mid day began. The lingering noise of pots and pans clashing together filled the atmosphere. Y/N was sitting in the corner of the couch reading a book.

Matt darted around the kitchen with oven gloves, that felt like there were permanently attached to his hands. He was cooking a full roast dinner for him and Y/N. The oven was making a soft humming noise, while it cooked the remaining minutes on the ham. The carrots, potatoes, and peas resting on the counter waiting to be served. The table was set with two pairs of plates, knives, forks and glasses. He also added a tall standing candle in the middle of the table, to give it a romantic touch.

"Y/N!" Matt called out while placing the filled plates onto the table. His girlfriend came rushing into the kitchen, with an empty stomach. "Oh Matt, this looks amazing." Y/N walked over to a still oven gloved Matt. His cheeks were flushed from the meals steam, so a sweet pink hue covered his face. She leaned in and kissed his cheek softly, he cold nose brushing his cheek. "Thanks baby. Now come sit." Matt urged.

He walked around to the other side of the table to pull out a chair for Y/N to sit down. She blushed softly and giggled at his kind gesture. Y/N sat down and was greeted with a steaming dish placed in front of her. Matt sat on the opposite side of the table.

They both had wine glasses filled half way. Matt reached over the table and held his hand out for Y/N to hold it. She pulled her hand out of her lap and extended her arm for her hand to fit in Matt's. He stroked her knuckles softly as they waited for the food to cool.

"This is really sweet Matt." Y/N broke the silence. Matt looked up into her eyes and blushed slightly.The candles on the table burnt fiercely and fast next to the pair. Y/N pulled her hand out of Matt's and grabbed her knife and fork to begin eating. She cut into the ham and took a bit. "Oh my god! This is so good Matt." She moaned into her food.

"Oh stop it." Matt blushed even further. He began taking small bites of his food as well, but mostly paying attention to Y/N's reactions. "Honestly Matt, you should cook things like this more often." She smiled up at Matt.

They ate together in silence, enjoying every bite. Sneaking smirks and flirting glances.

When they finished their meal, Matt and Y/N placed their plates into the sink and found their remaining seats. Their wine was filled back up and the rest of then evening was filled with them talking sweet nothings to each other.

Conner's first time ice skating <3

Matt fastened and tightened Conner's ice skates and flashed him a quick reassuring smile. "Okay buddy, time to start skating." Matt said excitedly. He quickly checked over Y/N's ice skates before she could stand up, he didn't want her skates being too loose and them at risk of falling off.

Y/N stood up after Conner and Matt picked him up and placed him on his hip. The family walked over to the entrance of the rink. Matt stepped onto the ice first and then Y/N. Conner stayed behind and held onto the side in fear.

"Hey buddy, it's okay. Mommy and daddy are going to be with you." Matt skated forward a little bit. He held out his hands even more. Conner stepped onto the ice and immediately slipped. He was wearing the skates that has two blades on either side of each shoe, so he could keep his balance.

His lip started to tremble and wobble, Matt crouched down next to him and picked him up, placing Conner back on his hip. "It's okay sweetie, everybody falls over on their first try. I did when daddy took me skating." Y/N said trying to cheer up Conner. They started skating slowly, Y/N's arm wrapped around Matt's. Conner nuzzled his head into Matt's neck.

Y/N and Matt just did a few laps around the rink speaking quietly to each other until Conner felt a bit happier.

"Conner," Matt rubbed his back gently. "How do you feel about doing a bit of skating?" He questioned. Conner looked up with messy hair, he looked indecisive. "You see that penguin that that little girl has over there? Why don't we get one for you, and then you won't fall over again? Hmm?" Matt asked.

Matt tried to spot a free penguin, when he did he skated over quickly to claim it. Conner was still in his arms. He squealed softly. Matt looked over at his now smiling son. "You like going fast bud?" He pulled away stray hairs from Conner's eyes. "Yeah!"

Y/N was just doing laps by herself now, but she would look over at Matt every now and again. She was smile softly at the bonding time.

"Well, why don't you hold onto Mr. Penguin and see how fast you can go?" Matt began to place Conner down on the ice. He held onto the grips on the support animal. "Okay daddy." Conner murmured.

He began to walk slowly and started to get the hang of it. Y/N had joined them again. "Wow Conner! You're doing it!" Y/N cheered on. "Just like daddy." She ended.

"Just like daddy." Conner repeated, he started to pick up his pace. Matt held Y/N around her waist and pulled her into him. He held her chin to make her eyes meet his, Matt gave her a few lingering kisses. But they were interrupted by Conner squealing. "Daddy I'm just like you!!" Y/N and Matt laughed at the new found skill of Conner's. Both parents skated over to Conner, now on the other side of the rink.

"Well done buddy, great job." Matt crouched down to Conner's level and gave him a tight hug with a kiss on the cheek.
