It’s five miles south of the Canadian border, twelve miles west of the state line. I’ve never seen so many trees in my life. As W.C. Fields would say, “I’d rather be here than Philadelphia.”

The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.

A vision of decay - stark horizontal and vertical lines of the desert interrupted only by their own rot and crumble. Desert towers, tired from years of reaching towards the sky, now lean on one another in hopes of prolonging the inevitable graveyard of the valley floors below. It’s a dismal end - strong independent symbols of strength slowly breaking off, first as large boulders - but relentless is time - and those blocks will split and crack and repeat the process until nothing but a grain of sand. Oh how the mighty have fallen.
Do yourself a favor, towers and arches are not timeless so go pay your respects. Visit the parks. Take stupid pictures of yourselves appearing to hold them up because, you know what, we can’t hold them up. In my 10 years in Utah, beautiful arches once seen have broken and towers previously visited with future hopes to climb have fallen - unclimbed. So, Go Now.

Thinner at the waist line I feel thinner at the waist line I'm getting old in the face Everyday there’s another new line “You're looking thinner, are you alright?” Yeah I'm just busy all of the time I'm just a little more tired Every day I really don't know why
