An Exercise in Self-Portraiture

Most know me as Abby. 24 Texas Here is a feeble attempt at merging the many facets of my being into a single gem. I could probably say a lot of things about what it would be like to meet me (perhaps that I'm funny or nice), but considering that I've never met myself, you'll just have to make your own determinations. :) I'm currently a kinesiology major at UNT. Oh my god, so it's been super fucking cold, so we thought we'd snag a few board games to pass the time while it's like 7F out, right? Anyways, we picked up a D&D starter kit since everyone wanted to try it out but had never played, so what could be more time consuming, fair? We all picked out our character sheets, and I chose a Halfling Rogue because it sounded interesting and mysterious. Anyways, I read the actual background and I'm a basically a fuckin' Hobbit thug who is -literally- in a gang.

The visualizations are endless, but most of them involve Middle Earth drive-by shootings, the Shire Southside, or Frodo saying "gang gang".

I have a bad habit of online shopping, then adding stuff I like to my cart/wishlist while I decide if I truly want to buy it (sometimes for literal months), then finally acting shocked and offended when it sells out.... Like as soon as it's sold out, I've suddenly decided that I truly wanted that item and will no longer live the same fulfilled life as I would have had I bought the items.... As though I did not take months to make up my goddamn mind....

Many countries and cultures have the concept of “between the years” which lasts roughly from Dec. 24th to Jan. 6th. Unmarried women might see their future husband if they visit the forest at night, but they must not speak to him. Some superstitions include not hanging white sheets or any laundry outside lest the wild riders get caught in them and haunt you. And it is said to be a time for oracles and scrying, too, sometimes in the form of melting lead and pouring it into water to interpret the shape it takes as your fortune for the new year.
