An endurance/challenge position based on the way that the feline stride is in an almost perfect straight line, and how the cheetah balances itself impeccably with its tail to lean into corners at high speed. The aim isn't to move forward, just to remain upright and balanced and therefore in perfect, decorative poise. Submissive experience should be one of intense concentration on the position and adjustment of your body to the exclusion of all else. The rope is to take some of the weight, without which the position is extremely difficult to hold up by yourself for any possible length of time (...as far as I could manage, anyway). It also guides your sense of centre, and will visually counterbalance your lean much like the tail would. Of course, such aid can be made slacker or tighter at a dom's discression, removed entirely or locked to upright for display. This pose with your paws in single file should force you into the elegant high shoulders, low ribcage and high hindquarters of the cheetah - and, feeling as though you are a sprinter in the starting blocks, the urge to spring forward at high speed can become immense - an urge that fullbody stocks and hip harness restrains you from, royal pet cheetah that you are. And when you do fall - which you will - the cheetah bar means you will flop over all cute style and lounge about with your paws out like the household cat you really are. In fact, the bar by itself has plenty of utility in making a pet out of you, albeit without the elegant display. Reccommended to flip the bar over between sessions to alternate between left or right side forward to avoid consistant stress. Not for extended use. Do not try at home.
