Jamie xx - I know there’s gonna be (good times) ft. Young Thug & Popcaan
Tell me you didn't just drop a few moves to this . I dare you.
Rubblebucket - NPR Tiny Desk Concert
Listen to just the audio first, else the lead singers eccentricities might put you off too quickly. They have a lovely, new sound and definitely worth it. Trust me.
Skinny girl hate in popular music nowadays is a classic example of sour grapes. Female singers who are on the heavier side need to justify their being so and what better way than to incorporate their superiority into a catchy song.
You don't see skinny musicians making music about 'fat bitches'.
Banks - NPR Tiny Desk Concert
If you've listened to Banks before watch this video. Watch it now.
If you haven't listen to her album 'Goddess' first.

Eyedress - When I'm Gone (Feat. GEoRGiA)
Runs a bit long in my opinion but still worth it for the main bits.
The South - oOoOO
This is 'witch house' apparently. Whatever the name, it's a trippy track.
The first instrumental section gets me every time.
Just fucking drums and bass.
FKA Twigs - Two Weeks
After reading a couple of her interviews(and listening to her music of course!), I think I'm going to like her a lot.
Reminiscent of Kanye West's Power video?
The Kilimanjaro Darkjazz Ensemble
No points for guessing what genre this band considers their music to be. Although I'd say they more obvious in the one than the other!
The origins of the band arise from an audiovisual project created by members in which they began creating soundtracks to classic silent films such as Metropolis(1927) and Nosferatu(1922), both brilliant films which have stunning imagery. Backing up mine and many other film enthusiasts' opinion that modern technology has led to a generation of film makers lacking in imagination and artistic capabilities of those in the past. But I digress. The band then continued to make music inspired by images from these movies.
Scene from Nosferatu of Count Orlok climbing up a staircase.
Listening to the music, it's very easy to see how they were inspired by these movies/images. The minimalistic and eerie sounding music, mesh perfectly with the atmospheres these films portray. An ambient, dark fantasy.
I got very excited when I saw there was a connection between this band and a couple of my favourite movies.
Do give them a listen and the movies a watch. You will not be disappointed!
Odesza - How Did I Get Here
Apparat - You Don't Know Me
Only 7 years late to this album...
Going to see the Editors today! More looking forward to Metronomy next Friday though!
I'm going expecting nothing since I'm not a massive fan. But this is good, low expectations are definitely a good thing.
SBTRKT - Wildfire ft. Little Dragon
