I'm not posting any pictures with spoilers about what I saw happening on set but I didn't see anything that doesn't happen in the books and, yes, that includes some smoke.

Important thing you need to know: Assad's skin is perfect. I spoke to him and can confirm he is sweet, kind and breathtakingly beautiful. Anne would have called him a Botticelli Angel.
