April was finally done with her work. She looked and felt exhausted as she walked up to the nurses station. When she heard her daughter, she smiled exhaustively. “I never know where your father is and I work with him.” She placed her hands in her pocket. “You guys have something planned tonight.” 

Turning to faced her mother, a small smile on her lips. “Well, I just have to talk to him about something. I need a consult, I read something about a surgery where they can slim your feet. I need better points.”

“You know I hate being called that. So, can you not..” Maxine groaned, her arms crossed over her chest. “I need to find him.”

Aria was just getting done with visiting her mother when she noticed someone ask a nurse something and the nurse not answering. “They never know. I suggest looking at the surgical board or paging him.” Putting her jacket on, Aria ended up flipping her hair slightly, then turning towards the other woman “I am pretty sure Dr.Avery is in surgery though. At least that’s what I overheard one of the doctors say.” 

Head snapping in the direction of the voice. “He told me he wouldn’t be..” She muttered to herself, before sighing and running her fingers through her hair. “Thanks, guess i’m waiting in the cafe until hes out.

Maxine let the hair be blown off her shoulders as she walked into the hospital. Her face still done up from her recital. She didn’t want to go home, not yet that is. And it was the closest place to get a bag of ice to calm her ankles down. “Do you know where I can find my dad? Jackson Avery?” She asked a nurse, who gave her a shrug and kept walking. “Really..” She muttered quietly to herself.
