Revelations .. Allison & Max
When he laughed, her embarrassment only became worse and she looked down for a bit, grinning at his comment but still trying to retain a look of seriousness and indifference. “Shut up,” she chuckled and shoved him playfully, almost wishing she hadn’t once she realized that it had come off a bit more flirtatious than she would have liked it to be. If there was one thing she didn’t need, it was Max thinking that he had some kind of footing with her.
Her eyebrows were raised with his response, not expecting it at all. “I have to say, I didn’t think you were going to be this calm about all of this I didn’t give you enough credit,” she said honestly, speaking only the truth. She expected him to kick her out or call the police after she demonstrated his power, but this was a welcomed surprise. “No, I don’t but I think you should understand that this isn’t a game. These powers aren’t just a toy for your own amusement I don’t really have to give you the Spider-Man speech do I?”
He let her push him with the kind of good-natured ease that came with knowing that he wasn't ever going to push back. It felt a little like flirting on her end, but Max had yet to decide if it was worth it or not to actually pursue. Better, he decided, to wait and see if Allison Greene was capable of being as frosty as he heard.
Looking over, Max's eyebrows raised slightly and he grinned. It was becoming a fixation, lately, to utterly surprise girls by acting outside the stereotype he'd existed in so comfortably until lately. "No one ever does, really." His expression went from amused to remarkably innocent-- something that he'd considered both a talent and a godsend after escaping countless detentions. "I would never think of using such serious and divine gifts as toys for my own amusement, although I'm more of a Batman kind of guy, I have watched the Spider-Man movies and am therefore quite clear on the concept of how power meets responsibility." A dazzling grin illuminated his face for an instant. "Really."
