ZONES - Northern and southern climate regions in europe.
These two zones can be called the Temperate climate regions and Mediterranean climate regions. Certain plants are indicators of these two regions, almonds being one of them, and olives being the other. Basically, if you can grow plenty of olives and almonds you are in the Mediterranean belt. There is a distinctly different feel to living in these regions, characterised by much sunnier, drier weather, warmer generally all year round. In many ways, growing staple vegetables like beetroot, carrots and potatoes are easier in the temperate regions, the main advantage being that you don’t have to water. The key disadvantage to these regions is that fruit and tree crops in general are much less plentiful. These two distinct differences in climate give rise to distinctly different cultures and cultural practices.

Horizions
Every drop counts
The sea, meeting sky; a flat horizon.
Water, never in a straight line will it move, yet to the eye,
paralleling the curve of the earth.
Every drop counts,
Water, one being,
Land, the solid, being constantly battered by the waves makes a
crooked line against the pale blue sky.

A prayer for strength in self
Ancestors, and guides from the beyond, you who have gone before me who know the trials of life and who's kindness and compassion I feel holding me and surrounding me - please grant me this wish: help me to be fully myself. Gift me the time to do what I have come here to do, to share the gifts of my soul with this beautiful world before it is too late, and I run out of time. Help me to follow my dreams without delay, and grant me the space to create what only I can uniquely make, to craft with my own two hands the truth that I have lived and experienced, have been here and reaped and sown something of the spirit of which I am only a small part in some greater play. And bless me with the awareness of my vital contribution to the whole of life despite being but a drop in the infinite ocean of life. And help me to know that just as each part contains the whole, so the whole contains each part, and so once I am reunited with that infinite ocean, I can still be remembered when I am gone.
a surrendering prayer
Over the last few days this “prayer” came to me, so I thought I would share -
Choice is so debilitating
And even if you make the right choices you will still only
make a small change in the world
One can’t do great things, only small things with great love
So stop trying to do everything and to know everything.
Your path is there all the same, just follow your heart.
And this Path is uniquely yours, so do what you love.
Make the step that's there to make Take the breath that's there to take. Shake with the spirit that makes you shake If you can't feel your heart just know you are a part of some great work of art, and that all you experience between Life and death is carried on the winds of in breath and out breath. - Though this breath won't last Ask And this breath will receive all of you and give you the answer to what you need. No matter what your choice The winds will always carry your voice
-
Choice is debilitating, but it is what we need to do,
so breathe and feel, and know that what ever choice you make,
will be the right choice, and know that all will be well.
