Data centers have a very limited lifespan but their consequences will be felt for generations.
i do think lobbying for data centres over climate goals should be considered a crime against humanity btw
sometimes writing isn’t about talent. sometimes it’s about sitting in your chair and suffering for 45 minutes until a single sentence crawls out of your skull
ohhh my god I just fact-checked, Nolan actually DID cut the "Nobody" scene from his Odyssey movie. Mfer that is like cutting the Father reveal from Star Wars. Let me speak in a language you understand this is like not dressing Batman up in his suit. "It was not possible to work it in" the TikTok musical with a budget of $4 and a scratched Hamilton CD managed to work it in in SONG form, step up your FUCKING GAME

This offer now includes our newly listed preorders for our upcoming trans romance novella: Summer Nights, Cigarettes & Spearmint Toothpaste
Note: This is not a YA novella; however, it is suitable for older teens. 15+
As children, Adrian and Cyrus spent every summer together, forming a deep bond while Cyrus visited family in Scotland. But just as they were on the verge of childhood friendship blooming into something more, closely guarded secrets, teenage angst, and family drama drove them apart.
Now adults, Adrian is living in the US, trying to build a life for himself in Cyrus’s hometown. He’s not looking to reunite with his old friend, but when they inevitably run into each other, Adrian can’t help but be hopeful. There’s just one problem: Cyrus has no idea who Adrian is.
As Adrian and Cyrus grow close once more, will their new relationship survive Adrian’s decision not to reveal his identity? Or will the mask he clings on to destroy their chance to truly know — and love — each other, for good?
A tale of trans romance, Summer Nights, Cigarettes & Spearmint Toothpaste is a tender friends-to-lovers story told over multiple childhood summers and one unexpected, complicated reunion.

The people who insist AI is smarter than a human are doing their fucking damnedest to manifest that
"AI is smarter than a human!" -> AI is smarter than YOU. YOU feel it is smarter because YOU lack the free-thinking needed to recognize its errors and your own dependency
This is literally what people are talking about when they say AI will be used to mainstream widely held bigotry. LLMs are trained on frequency and probability -> straight relationships are more well represented in the dataset -> straight pronouns and terms become the "correct" normal.
This is a form of backdoor bigotry from both normative facts (there are more straight than gay relationships) and well represented bigoted beliefs (men are superior to women).
Combine this with the mass of people inclined to believe (and being encouraged to believe) that if AI says and does something it must be correct
When I try to write on my Android phone (which, Android is a product in association with Google and therefore uses Google data), I write "husbands" and "his husband", or "boyfriends" / "his boyfriend" a lot since I primarily write gay male fiction.
I have to CONSTANTLY fix it to write the above, because it will automatically correct these phrases to "husband's" or "boyfriend's". Before I figured out how to turn off Grammarly entirely, it would underline "his" in "his husband" or "his boyfriend" like the above.
But even worse? As I was writing this?
Android HATES me writing the word gay. It always says it's wrong. It tries often to autocorrect it to "yay" or "may" or whatever the fuck it thinks is applicable. There's no option to add gay to my personal dictionary so it stops saying the word is incorrect.
I'm a gay tranny fag and Google can't take that from me. Ever. It's why I just stick to writing on my computer at home now, with LibreOffice instead.
