1st Monthsary with Richter Belmont
January 23: The clock strikes 12AM, signifying the start of our first monthsary
HAPPY MONTHSARY RICHTER BAEMONT
I call him my Blueberry Cheesecake
Because he is Blue, he’s sweet as a Berry, and he is a total CHEESECAKE and beefcake
So our monthsaries are always blueberry-themed with a twist of whatever I come up with
Had lunch at work with blueberry treats with a side of woomy
Went home that night and bought me a slice of blueberry cheesecake ♥
And then I booted up SOTN on my pc and...
But of course it wouldn’t be fully romantic if it wasn’t a candlelit dinner
MWAH! That was an amazing monthsary. We’re looking forward to more monthsaries to come!

“What might Inkopolis be like?” Agent 8 wonders…
Imagine Inkopolis is a Splatoon zine centered around the community’s original characters. Splatoon’s mighty array of clothing and gear makes original characters so easy to create. Additionally, the concept of human-ish sea characters has made way for many unique takes on different species and characters that are not inklings or octolings. With both of these highlights together, Splatoon has a mass amount of original characters with endless creative and unique qualities. The mysterious and vague lore in Splatoon has also given content creators the freedom to create their own versions of Inkopolis in a plethora of different ways. In short, Splatoon has some of the most creative artists and thinkers of any game simply due to how much we get to work with! Some artists have underground turf wars, completely different versions of the Octo Expansion, unique agents, new takes on salmon run, hordes of original characters, and so much more.
Imagine Inkopolis aims to be like a magazine of sort, displaying all the unique characters in Inkopolis, how the city functions, the cool shops and restaurants, public services, etc! At its core however, Imagine Inkopolis is centered around the Splatoon community’s original characters.

I’ve been sharing headcanons over at Twitter so might as well share some here:
Mettaton feels pressured; he feels responsible for whatever happens to the family. Since he’s the most successful member of the Blook clan, he’s taken it upon himself to maintain or improve their lives. Nobody is really pressuring him to work hard, but he’s voluntarily doing it.
Mettaton is a BINCH not because he wants to be, but he has to be. This is to protect his cousins like Blooky from any threat.
Blooky DOES get his share of fanmails, 90% of which are from creeps. This only makes Mettaton even more hostile off-stage to protect his cousin.
Mettaton DOES trust people and give people many chances, but break his trust and he will never give you a second chance.
Mettaton is sexy but not lewd. He’s willing to be sexy but remain classy and “family-friendly” about it.
I have a few headcanons that Mettaton and the rest of the Blook clan are Asian-inspired, particularly, some of their beliefs/ways of lives are Chinese-inspired (based on what I’ve observed in our Filipino-Chinese community)
Mettaton’s favourite number is 8, the number containing meanings of prosperity, success, and fortune
Mettaton acts like a strict parent to Blooky given the chance; especially when Blooky’s trying to find someone. The family fortune and success is held of very high importance so they can’t be too lax about it.
(additional info about above mentioned) However even though this is the case, they don’t seem to discriminate those who aren’t their level. Rather, they’re just really good at filtering out genuine people from social climbers.
It’s more accepted for active ghosts to find their beloved from different monster races and families; whereas passive ghosts like Blooky will probably have a harder time and has more limits as to who they are allowed to be with. (reflects the traditional patriarchal culture; still evident but not as prominent as before)
Mettaton is willing to help fellow businessmonsters rise, so that monsters will get stronger together.
During New Year’s, they celebrate with traditions akin to dragon/lion dances and adorn the place with red lanterns. Red is believed to bring good fortune. (probably why Mettaton has a liking to Madsta/Mad Dummy to a certain degree)
The MTT business avoids the number 4: the hotel has no 4th floor, they avoid four of a kind in packages, 4 in their product names, etc.The number 4 is linked to connotations of death.
