“Stand Behind Me” [closed]

If mentioned, Tatiana would like to say that wanting others - strangers included - to get hurt was the strange sentiment, in her opinion. Also, given her stature, she was far from the type to try looking for trouble. She wouldn’t dare. Instead of a fight, she was more likely to be kidnapped, or scammed into something.
Sugar- that nickname was new. She wondered if it was because of something she had shared to him before. Her worry was still there, but it was lessened by his words.
“You can never be too sure of that.” Beginner’s luck or a well-timed shot could spell trouble for him. Though not a fan of violence, or of swear words if her wince at his next words were any indication, she could not look away from the confrontation. If he got hit, or if someone were to go past him, she needed to know.
“Smogon, buddy,” the first guy spoke, baseball bat in hand, “I’d heard you’d gone soft since you promoted. And got yourself a pretty little girlfriend? Guys like you who bow down to others should really leave cuties like her to guys like us, who can get shit done.”
“Boring,” Smogon yawned, “If you’re just here to try and give me trouble, just get on with it. I was just in the middle of trying to ask the little lady if she wants to have dinner with me, you’re killing the mood.”
“You fu-”
Crack! At first glance, one might think that that was the sound of the man’s bat hitting Smogon square on the forehead. Fortunately, it was just the sound of the bat shattering into pieces in the large man’s hand. He’d caught it and crushed the thing in one swift motion.
“Didn’t you hear me? I promised I wouldn’t let you land a single hit on me!” He howled. And a single hit they did not land. Five guys, all just as big and menacing as Smogon, and not a one of them could get any closer than the bat swing. He moved faster, hit harder, and wasn’t even sweating by the time three of the men ran off carrying their two other idiot friends.
He fixed his tie and turned to look at Tatiana, “Hope that wasn’t too much for ya, sugar.”
