“That works for me, I’m not overly picky. I’m just not used to being on this side of the dating experience, it’s a bit weird. I trust you though.” He chuckled, shrugging his shoulders. “I trust you taste in food too and either way free food is free food, I’m not complaining. I’m just impatient. We can add that to my list of flaws too.” he joked, sitting back and alternating between looking at her and watching the road. “Or, you know, another car. But I’m working on that. In the capacity that I haven’t looked around for one at all. Oh well, biking to work will probably be great for my figure. I’ll lose cool points, but I think I surrendered my cool card when I became a teacher anyway. I’m Prince Aladdin now? I thought I was Erik.”
“I should hope so, I mean for future reference you possibly shouldn’t agree to dinner with pretty girls that you don’t trust,” she’d laughed. Looking to her mirrors briefly as they talked and turning on her directional. “Impatient? I think that applies to the majority of humanity really but i’ll try to keep that in mind.” She’d made a slightly displeased face, not one directed at him but one in noticing an odd shift in their surroundings compared to the route she’d taken in the past. Shrugging it off with little concern, “Whoa, sit back world an’ look at Seth Elkins go. Zero is a pretty opportune number.” May had laughed again, playfully tisking him. “You’d only surrender cool points if you went the route i’d considered an’ been a history teacher, or maths but Lily is an exception to that ideal.” She’d shifted slightly at her own mention of Lily but, besides an idle glance to her bracelet she didn’t show any other sign of guilt. “I never really had you pegged for any of them. I just make random comparisons because---” she’d shrugged, “that tends to be the line of humor I go with. Irrelevant references to movies and literature and whatnots.”
