Stop taking interviews as some kind of gospel. They are promoting the show, nothing more.

Hopper was dead in interviews until he was revealed to be alive.

Will was just stuck in his childhood with being gay "a way you can interpret it" as recent as right before season 4 volume 2.

The cast was even coy about Max's fate after season 4 despite her technically being alive.

These interviews are carefully controlled to preserve storylines. The cast is coached on how to answer questions without spoiling. Everything they say has been coached. And even then stuff can be taken out of context.

None of these interviews disprove Byler anymore than they prove it. That's for the show to do. Nothing short of the Duffers coming out and saying "yeah, Byler isn't happening, we're sorry it got this out of hand" will convince me otherwise.

I won't link any interviews because I know doubt will spread no matter what I say. If you're the type who believes these things, feel free to look for them yourself.

People who dislike/hate Will and byler are the same people who 1. Will never understand the the queer experience 2. Don't know what it feels like to love someone so close but so far from your reach 3. How trauma effects you in the long run 4. To want someone so much that it destroys you from the inside.

As someone who has experienced all these things, I can't help but love will.

Any time someone sh!ts on him I can't help but feel like it's an attack on anyone that's ever had any of these experiences.

It hurts my heart to see so much hate in this world, especially for things that I have experienced.

My only hope for the future of this show is that we will be given a satisfying ending that will have a positive and profound impact on the world around us.
