Has anyone ever spoken about how in this ending, in Will's memory, only he jumps off of the swing set. He "frees himself" but little Mike stayed on the swing. He did not free himself. He stays repressed. 😪

I’m not going to watch the vhs edition until they drop season 2, so they better do it soon cause I’m impatient. (But I gotta know for sure that there’s more coming, because that will solidify the plan for me)

YEP! THE CREEL MURDERS HAPPENED ON SUNDAY MARCH 22nd/THE NIGHT OF SATURDAY MARCH 21ST! Just like i talked about in this post.

How do i know this? Well.

“Local family man, Victor Creel, murdered his wife and two small children Saturday night.”

And now look at the date on this paper- Thursday, March 26th. Making that previous Saturday having been March 21st, and the bodies were discovered on Sunday, march 22nd.

The same March 22nd as Will’s birthday. This explains why Henry would want to erase that day- it was the day where shit hit the fan in his life.

EDIT FROM FUTURE ME: this is in the Edward timeline (this post was made before I figured out the Edward stuff, so where it says "henry," in this post, add "edward" . I also don't think that Henry or Edward wants to erase that day, that was just my first half awake guess at the time of posting this)

I don't know if this is relevant, but now that I've found the original newspaper, I think it can help confirm a few things here :)

The original newspaper headline reads "Sunday, 15th March 1959"

I cannot, for the life of me, make out the exact date on the Henry Creel paper, but it does look like the Sunday was changed to Thursday.

I cannot differentiate if it actually says 26th March though - it could possibly be 12th or 19th of March too.

However, the Weekly Watcher paper is dated 26th March, but this paper reports that the trial was already concluded by 26th March 1959, and that Victor Creel was already behind bars, so it is highly unlikely that the murders took place on 22nd March 1959, only 4 days before his sentencing:

It looks like the Saturday night reference was already present in the original newspaper:

I don't know how much value this adds to the discussion, but the conclusion I think we can draw from this is that the Creel murders, at least as described in the newspaper, do not take place on Saturday 22nd March 1959.

Of course, that's completely negated by the events of TFS anyway, but that's a whole other can of worms!
