This might just be me but I feel like Simon was allowed on both sides. Like nobody really payed any mind to Simon, he was kinda just the kid that helped around with anything. He was also probably one of the only boys who had total freedom to go where ever on the island because from what I remember from the book he never offically took sides.

my most lotf-like moment was during a duke of edinburgh expedition where we all made a fire and sat around it and then this girl from another school fainted and nearly fell into the fire and all her friends had to help her she’s was so simon fr
