being chronically online for most of my life has interesting effects on my life, including my education. in history class, while covering the french revolution, robespierre was introduced and the very first thing that came to mind was "oh! that one guy who's the blorbo of That Artist I Follow!"

the 2nd torture sequence was absolutely gorgeous — like, literally chef's kiss. it also gave away some pretty important things ab the main cast in a v interesting way!

each of their tortures represents either a trauma/insecurity or a death. and the one that jumped at me the most was ragatha's.

I think she was almost murdered, and possibly (almost) cannibalized.

her sequence is at a dinner table, evoking a family dinner with all the occupied seats and the figure at the end that resembles a ragdoll too, as well as the idea of consumption with the dinner consisting of odd meat (?). this means that the attacker was a relative of hers, one who already was a killer and/or had murdered her family (the dead dolls at the table).

she was definitely attacked herself since a bunch of knives fly towards her, and the figure looms over her and smiles at her injured form. also, one of the flying knives hit her missing eye, which I think means that she either lost it during the encounter (and the figure possibly ate it) or she has a scar over that eye bc of them.
