Use of colour in “The Siege of the North:pt2”
I really appreciate the stylistic choice of making everything turn to gray scale when the moon died.
I re-watched the episode and it emphasized the atmosphere of how unnatural and out of balance the world came after the moon’s death. Not to mention the use of limited colour to covey a narrative. Fire bending against the black and white illuminating intense expressions, Yue’s eyes being blue reminding the audience that a part of the moon spirit is with her.
Some of these things I didn’t think about before but it’s nice to notice now
