Despite how often I associate Eri with physical touch her most honest way of showing affection is acts of service, particularly cooking. If she goes out of her way to do anything for anyone (out of selflessness not greed) it means something. It's seldom she allows herself to cook, and something she indulges in during her privacy as a ways for stress relief. To share it is a way of letting someone in by allowing them to see the attempts of effort (vulnerability, the ability to fuck up) and results of her cooking (opening herself up to a judgement to be made, wanting to appease the other party). Particularly post vault she takes up the act of gutting mirelurk, she'll feed the prettier strips of meat to Butch like a lost cat.

Purposeful incompetency. Easiest way to get her to start acting snide instead of coy to push a person around. She'll say the most venomous things in the world (personal attacks, psychological inferences, using information given to her in privacy) while smiling. Stretching a goalpost is still in the bounds of being alright with her. Incompetency is fine, she thinks everyone has weaknesses (that she can exploit) and incompetency is the easiest way to render trust through accomplishments. (reminder she is an evil to neutral lw)

Honestly she's got most of my okinawan rituals tbh scratches my head. (salt packet in her caps wallet, circles around a bathroom after going to a funeral, never allowed to whistle during the night <- I think a lot of cultures have this though)
But fo3 adjacent is if something in the train tunnels scares her she'll tap the floor three times with her left toe, 4 times with her right foot (also toe). Lucky number 7, it's the grounding technique of physicality and something she can do while moving that keeps her from being vulnerable. While indulging in childhood nostalgia.

Even with Butch in the picture her needs comes first, and then after those necessities are satiated. Her loveless rendezvous with him comes to mind. Eri's never wanted to settle down. I think she's very pessimistic about her future even if outwardly she doesn't admit to it. She'd probably digest the question before lying through her teeth & clamoring about how pretty those white picket fences looked just to get the conversation over with.
