Someone explains please by remaining objective why some fans are visibly upset with the news. Cause idk.
I don't know what to make of it regarding Bedard and the supposed rebuild around him. But at the same time it looks fun.
Hey, so I assume this is in regards to the Kaner news, if not, sorry, but that's how I interpreted it.
A few years ago when Kaner, Tazer, and the core, so guys like Patrick Sharp, Brent Seabrook, Duncan Keith, and Corey Crawford were still on the team, like even before the first part of the dynasty run, there were some accusations regarding Kaner that got brought to court.
A couple of things happened that soured a lot of ppl against him, but I think the only legal thing he was responsible for was an assault on a cabbie, and I'm not even sure if that was like an actual legal issue or if that was a PR issue that was blown over. In any case, a lot of ppl on here despised this man.
Anyone who supported him or were reblogging things with him in it, were basically targeted and harassed. I'm not saying Kaner was perfect or that he didn't do some of the things he was accused of, but at one point there was a k*ll list where ppl who talked about Kaner were told to kts. He was called everything under the sun, and so were ppl who liked him.
Patrick Kane was like a typical frat boy who never went to college, he was a young millionaire with a whole franchise on shoulders and the only person who shared that pressure was Tazer. None of this gave him the right to treat ppl poorly or act like an idiot, but the way ppl who celebrated and thrived off of purity culture went after him was kind of insane. The ppl who supported Kaner were also doing a lot, but nothing like the harassment from the ppl who hated him.
I fully expect that the ppl who hated him aren't really in this fandom space anymore, but clearly since you're asking this question, a lot of ppl still talk about how much they hate him and keep passing it on for future generations, but not explaining why.
I would look up what happened with him in terms of the accusations for yourself and decide how you feel about him. Some of the accusations were quite serious, but never proven or acted on, so no one really knew if they happened or not, they just made up their minds and went with it.
I, for one, am incredibly happy he's back, I've been a Hawks fan for over a decade, and I know this is probably a last hurrah thing, but it's like when Patrick Sharp came back, it's absolutely going to energize the Hawks, make Bedsy a better player and a better leader, and excite the city and fans.
On the Bedsy front, there is actually no possible way this can be a bad thing for his development. Kaner is a knowledgeable vet who elevates anyone he plays with, he is literally the best American born player of his generation, and all the kids who are coming in for the rebuild can absolutely learn from him, and are probably freaking out because Kaner is a lot of ppl's favorite player.
I hope that helped and made sense.
