2EM

'Performance', 'Art' and 'Influence' define 2EM.  The artist and the music are inseparable. Being involved in every part of his music from conceptualizing, producing and mastering allows him maximum creative control to express himself in a better way. 2EM's lyrics are supported by a variant of bass drops and powerful capturing melodies that play with voice, tone and rap to create art. But for 2EM having the right music is just not good enough. A big part of his whole life is performance.
To him it is most important how the crowd feels from a show and what they take back from it. He can often be quoted saying "if every time I play I can move the whole audience, make em smile, make em rage, make em feel the music and leave knowing that what happened tonight was something special, then I'm doing my job right."


 Writing stories, poems and rhymes since he was 5, which were far past his age. He spent most of his time since the 10th grade understanding sound, how it is manipulated and how it is delivered. Later on in his life he studied a year and half of audio engineering before dropping out. The purpose to his life was greater than the classroom and so he left to begin his journey. He believes it is his purpose to promote awareness. Not awareness of this or that but awareness of us, everything we do and eventually everything around us. His lyrics always makes the listener think, the way he puts across his thoughts and message is so unique that you will first fall in love with his music before joining the cult that is behind his lyrics. 


2EM has always been an awake child who was spirituality attuned since birth. He has come to understand and accept that all the struggles he witnessed and overcame are merely lessons to aid him in his purpose. His plans all stem from music but move to larger issues and ideas. Being part of the fastest growing generation in the world comes with twice the responsibilities and 2EM has more than taken them up. He has dedicated his entire life to it.

It's a shame we didn't learn all this information at our schools and it's also sad to see the larger population of the country oblivious to the truths of our past. I know just like you that our addictions to being like the west, our feelings of insecurity about our culture and heritage all stem from the lack of knowledge we have in our history.
