What do you think of this side by side of Cali and her reference picture? Let me know with a 👍❤. You can see where I've made her coat a more natural colour in her drawing. The reference was quite dark, with her main features in quite a deep shadow. Thankfully I was able to use another image to get her coat tones just right! These lovely words are from Hollee Ralph about her portrait of her horse Madge. She has also got a memorial portraits her onw of her dogs. I cried tears of joy when I saw the portrait of my horse. I have always been dubious of drawings looking nothing like the actual animal but I can say 100% every little detail is the spitting image of Madge! A birthday present that is extremely special to me and I can’t thank you enough. I am sure we will be back for more!
