Hi there! I'm Mason McCarthy, a junior at William McKinley School for the ARTS, the youngest of the (in)famous McCarthy quads (yes, there are four of us - crazy, right?), a cheerleader and a member of the New Directions show choir. I found this one song that’s sorta indie? I was looking around on YouTube and found this one artist. I’m pretty sure she’s in musicals or something but there was this fantastic song and I think I’m gonna do a cover of it.

It’s probably the worst idea ever to sing an artist no one has heard of but oh well. If I don’t get it, I don’t get it.

Busy week ahead and it’s only Wednesday! It’s kinda nerve wrecking though because I’m planning on auditioning for the one and only Trouble Tones on Friday. Here’s to hoping I don’t screw up or anything like that!

I’m so excited but I’m so nervous and honestly, I’m not too sure I want to do competitions but it wouldn’t help to have some friends around school now that I’m staying here.

It’s nearly midnight and I’m not done with all this homework. But then again there’s no one to blame but myself considering I took a nap once I got home. And a long one at that. With Glee club and Cheerios practice after school, I was kind of exhausted. And to think it’s barely Tuesday.

I’ve just started watching F.r.i.e.n.d.s on Netflix and I honestly feel like I’m being Punk’d. That’s what all the hype was about? I haven’t laughed once in the three hours I’ve been watching. I refuse to believe that a show this ridiculously bland has been a cultural icon for as long as it has.

Well, that happens sometimes. No one’s perfect. The important thing is that you’re here with us and we’re going to support you and love you no matter what. We just need you to stay and to trust us. 

This is overwhelming for a lot of us. In different ways, yeah, but ... we can do this. I believe in all of us.

“We could. But I don’t know his full name and I don’t know where he is,” Miles pointed out. “So the best I can do is say if he shows up around here, then yes, we have proof. And at least, with the threat of that, we can keep him away from Marline.”  He leaned against the table and rubbed his temples slowly before checking his watch. “I need to go pick up Ella. I promised Quinn I wouldn’t leave her there too late. You gonna be alright?”

“Yeah,” Mason said flatly, but then looked back up with a thin, but determined smile. “I’m always gonna be alright, Mi. My success rate for days so far is a hundred percent.” He held out a fist to his brother, hopeful despite all the pain that he still felt. No one else needed to know about it, and it would pass, anyway. It’s not like anything was going on with him that was worse than what was going on with his siblings. “Go get Ella. I promise I won’t eat all of these.”

YOU DESERVE LOVE. Everyone does! And we all love you. I know it might not seem like it right now, especially from Madison or Miles, because they’re being grumps and somehow simultaneously parenting and the exact opposite of that so it’s confusing, but ... they love you. And I do too.
