There are a multitude of mcyt confession blogs on tumblr, and yet they all seem to fill up and close their ask boxes. So, a new challenger has joined the game, me >: )

I’m luci, and if you’ve seen my main other mcyt blog, you’ll know I am far too opinionated and bias for these things, but who cares? What’s a blog without personality

My queue is currently 2 confessions a day, using the surplus I have from when I was inactive, but may increase depending on the amount of incoming asks.

why do people keep thinking this is a normal confession room

It’s gotten to a point with fanfic reading that I’ll exclude the hermitcraft tag when reading life series fics and vise versa. No, your ranchers fic set in a mafia au should not be tagged with hermitcraft, I don’t care that Tango is a hermit, they’re both life series players first.

My main problem drives from people tagging it as a hermitcraft fic when they only focus on life series players. Unless it’s a mafia au that sets on a specific season of hermitcraft then sure tag it a a hermitcraft fic. But in the majority of cases, keep it to the life series.

I love BBH's character lore and think it is some of the best around, but I hate when he sets it aside and instead makes his characters whole personality revolve around another persons character, sometimes for days or even weeks or months. I understand that it's an aspect of the character and I enjoy parts of it (I love his interactions with Foolish and Skeppy's characters as an example), but it's just disappointing when the cool lore gets delayed or changed or moved aside to be replaced with character BBH's most recent person to obsess over (I also acknowledge this is also just cc!Bad wanting to play with friends, I'm talking strictly from a fictional BBH enjoyer perspective)

I don’t trust people who have pfp of some popular artists, not cancelled ones like sadist or that one mcc artist, just certain popular artists mostly in the hermitcraft and life series fandom

I don't want to read rpf, so I block that tag (on Ao3)

I forgot to block it one time, and found a fic which was tagged as so. I sighed, scrolled past, but in the summery

"this isn't actually rpf I just tag for more reach"

NO.

That is NOT how it works!!!!

I read the fic, it wasn't rfp, and it was GREAT!

So, what's the problem?

They tagged it as something I didn't want to read, so people who WOULD ACTUALLY READ THE GODDAMN FIC TAG IT OUT!!!!!

I saw some rpf writers say that they will SKIP fic that say it isn't actually rpf, because THATS INCORRECT TAGGING!!!

You wouldn't want to be looking a fic in a small fandom, with crossovers blocked because you didn't want a universe crossover fic, and the ONE TIME you don't block crossovers, you find a fic with a cross over. You scroll past and they say "I'm just tagging for reach, it's not actually got [large fandom] in it" the fic has little views because they don't actually have the large fandom so fans of that don't read, and fans of small fandom don't read, because they don't want large fandoms!!!

Who does that help??????

This is why tagging CORRECTLY is so important in fandom spaces!! You block out people who would WANT TO READ IT!!!!!

I think I’m the one who started the SSS and WSS stuff. I was in a bad headspace and the shit going on ended up resulting in me falling in with the latter of those two (feelings on the whole thing are still complicated as hell, but I ended up leaving because it was making a bad headspace a worse headspace. Kind of only hung around because of a sense of duty to the younger community members near the end since the Twitter side of it was so disproportionately awful) and posted a whole critique of both sides using those acronyms for conciseness. Now it’s being used to perpetuate everything and I don’t know how to feel about it.

So uh. My bad.

can’t relate to the Scott haters, I think he’s fucking hysterical. Part of it may be nostalgia factor (my first few youtubers were Scott, Lizzie, Oli, LaurenZside, ect) but I think he’s hysterical. Campy and extra in a delightful way, good at the game, entertaining, decently connected to his fanbase. His Gartic Phone videos are some of my favorite things to watch! I genuinely don’t understand why people hate on him so much, he just rides the line of PG and PG-13, is gay, and is Scottish.
