Zolu continue to be two halves of a whole idiot

The contrasts of Zolu's first appearance ☼☾

These are the first two Straw Hats we see in opla. First, Luffy at sea in broad daylight (it even looks like morning), then Zoro on land in the dark of night.

Luffy is in a small boat that is sinking (he is a Devil Fruit user and could easily drown) but he still looks happy and excited, while Zoro is sad and absent lighting candles on an altar for Kuina (He has his hand on the Wado Ichimonji, when he usually always holds the middle one)

Luffy is just beginning his journey to fulfill his dream of becoming the Pirate King, while Zoro is an experienced pirate hunter seeking to become the world's greatest swordsman.

Luffy is younger and optimistic, we constantly see him yapping about his dream of becoming a pirate and having a crew. Zoro is older and more serious, he's very reserved and doesn't talk much. He has a dream too, one he must fulfill for the memory of his friend.

Luffy tries to recruit News Coo to have a crew and not sail alone, while Zoro is invited by Mr. 7 to join Baroque Works to belong to a group.

Luffy is rejected by the New Coo (he literally flies away) and Zoro makes it clear that he is not interested in joining Baroque Works.

Luffy's boat sinks, so he climbs into a barrel to continue his journey, while Zoro must face Mr. 7's attack, ultimately killing him. They both continue on their own until they can find each other.

They'll have to wait a little longer to meet. The change will be more noticeable in Zoro (look at that little smile!), but they'll be inseparable as they pursue their dreams.

Something else about this is if you’re the average prisoner in this prison you have to get burnt alive or eaten by wolves 24/7 but if you’re queer they take you to the gay bar and you get to party constantly and eat a bunch of delicious food that they’ve inexplicably got in there and also you get free and instantaneous HRT. This is not even subtext it’s literally what they’ve got going on.
