Bad Suns
Been a fan of these guys since that one album before Language & Perspective (which is no longer on iTunes- anybody else remember 20 Years??), so it was pretty incredible to see them play their biggest show to date last night in Dallas after having the last show rescheduled due to the icepocalypse. If you don’t know about these dudes, I suggest you hop on the train ASAP because they’re definitely going to be one to watch over the next few months. Here’s what I got last night during their set:

Waters
This weekend, I got the chance to catch the cool kids in Waters play with Matt & Kim here in Dallas. I’m completely in love with their stage setup and the way their music makes me want to frolic through a field of flowers. Here are some of the photos I got during their set:
Paradise Fears
Last weekend, I got the chance to spend a few days in Chicago with my best friend. The dudes in Paradise Fears were in town the same night opening for Andy Grammer, so I stopped by and shot their set.
Born Cages
This weekend Denton hosted over 250 bands at their premier festival, 35Denton. During the festivities, I had the chance to check out Born Cages’ set and snap a few photos afterwards. Here are a bunch of the shots I got:
The Vanity
One of my favorite things about shooting shows is finding new talent among a tour's opening acts. Tonight, I had the chance to shoot the Cold War Kids' show here in Dallas and unexpectedly stumbled upon a gem of a band- The Vanity (to my Austin friends: go check this band out- they rock). Here are some photos I got during their set:
Denton Camera Exchange
I recently got the chance to check out Denton Camera Exchange and talk a bit with owner Armand Kohandani about the shop. Here are some cool photos I took during my time there:
Morgan- 1800's Schoolhouse
Denton Black Film Festival
On Friday night, the Denton Black Film Festival had a reception for VIP holders at an art gallery in the Square. Here are some photos from the night's festivities:
Sir Sly
Last night I got to shoot Sir Sly on the first night of their tour with Kongos. Here are some cool photos from the show:
MLK Day
Today, UNT hosted a march for MLK Day. The march started at Willis Library and travelled to Fred Moore Park, ending at Denton's MLK Jr. Rec Center. I was fortunate enough to cover this event for NTDaily. A full photo story + video will be posted there tomorrow.
