It was that time of month again; it's such an annoying chore to deal with. Regardless of the situation, I knew I had to return to work eventually. I looked at the bloody pad and my panties; usually I try to keep them clean, but it sometimes manages to stain my panties abit. I let out a quiet groan. I did not want to get up, I knew if I were to get up the worst cramps unimaginable would hit. "God, I hate my stupid woman body." I mumbled to myself.
I wobbled to my desk, and I tried to muster up my last bit of strength to finish the last hour of my shift. "Come on! just one more hour power through, power through!"
"Oh my, are you okay?" Eleanor's worried expression gazed on drowsy self.
"Yea I'm fine it's just that time of month yaknow."
"You know you shouldn't push yourself, I have some pain killers if you want some." Eleanor said as she passed the bottle to me; my face lit up.
"Omg, Eleanor, you're the best!" I took a pill from the bottle and swallowed it. I hugged Eleanor and thanked her repeatedly. "You're a lifesaver!"
"Oh shucks, its nothing." Eleanor blushed.
I returned to my desk and resumed my work. Although, it wasn't a busy day today, I still felt exhausted from pain. I would sometimes feel the niagara falls that would come out of me every couple of minutes. I always hated that sensation. The last remainder of my shift typically consisted of shelving book in the correct order or planning logistics of the programs at the library.
"Is your boyfriend gonna pick you up?" Eleanor asked. I looked at her confused. "Boyfriend? No I'm taking the bus-" she then points to the pink haired man leaning casually on a black stylish motorcycle waiting for me outside the library parking lot.
"Ren?!" I gazed at him through the window. I make my way towards the door and feel my cheeks redden. "you didn't have to pick me up."
"I told you not to come to work today angel."He motions me to get on; I wave goodbye to eleanor and put on my helmet. "You know you don't have to work on days when you're on your period angel I can take care of us."
I climbed on, wrapping my arms around his waist and resting my cheek on his back. "I know but I just don't want it to feel like I leech off you."
"Angel, I would never think of you as a burden or a leech. Right now, you're in pain you deserve a break."
I hug him tighter snuggling on his body more as he drives us home. "I love you Ren."
When we arrived I barley had time to step off the bike before he scooped me and carried me inside. "Ren! I could still walk you know!" No matter how much I protested, part of me relished in the princess treatment. I was happy he cared about me enough about me to go out of his way and do this. It warms my heart more than he will ever know.
Ren places me gently in my bed and disappearing down the hallway. A minute later, he returns back with a heat pad to place on belly and my favorite comfort food. "Oh my, Ren you shouldn't have.."
"Anything for you angel." his words make my heart burst with love and adoration, tears start to form in my eyes.
"Angel is something wrong?" Ren looks at me with worry and concern.
"No it's just that what you do for me. I'm so lucky to have a boyfriend like you. I don't know what I would have done without you.."
"I'm the lucky one." Ren kisses my forehead and gazes at me with his beautiful blue eyes. My eyes gaze back at him, enamored from his beautiful face.
"Stop you're making me blush!" I pull my blanket up to hide my flustered expression. He blurts a small laugh. "You're so cute when you're like that."
As he is about to leave I grab his hand and gaze at him with a needy expression etched on my face, "wait stay." he happily complies and lays next to me in my bed. I take his arm and motion it to rest on my belly. "It makes me feel better when you do this.." Ren pets my belly as I peck quick glances at him.
"You're the best you know that." he looks at me, rising slightly from the bed. "The best there is?" There was a long silence between us we gazed at eachothers eyes until I broke the silence. "kiss me." I blurted out, without hesitation he embraced me in a deep and loving kiss. My heart starts pounding like it's about to explode from my chest. His kisses are soft and gentle. He breaks away, allowing me to breathe; I draw him closer, and he lays his head on my chest, snuggling passionately against me. I press a kiss on his forehead. "You're the best lover I could ever wish for."
