More terms under the cut:
The Big Questions:
Sizes? A full sheet is approximately a 9x12 inch piece of paper. Unless otherwise noted, prices are for half-sheet drawings, approximately 9x6. A postcard size is a quarter-sheet, about 4.5x6. Ink wash and painted pieces will be slightly smaller, as I stretch and tape them to prevent warping, which then need to be cut from the block. Note that I may also crop a piece to make a pose fit better.
Art is for your personal use, not commercial—As long as you credit me and link back to this blog (@armitages-notebook) wherever practical, you are allowed to use your commissioned art for things like websites, blogs, avatars, fanfics; you can print it out and stick it on your wall… So long as it isn’t being resold or used for a product you are making money on, such as cover art for a novel, advertising, NFT-esque fuckery, or AI training, we’re probably good.
It would be nice but not mandatory to be contacted before remixing your commission in any way other than cropping to fit a banner/avatar/whatever—I will probably say yes as long as you credit me for the original design, but reserve the right to withhold that permission if I feel uncomfortable with it. My edited work also cannot be used commercially—but absolutely pay (and tip!) any artist you ask to make these edits.
The Process:
Start by filling out this Google form with a brief description of what you want, maybe add a visual reference, and read my terms and conditions, summed up below.
On agreeing to take your commission, I ask for half the cost up front via Paypal invoice, for my own security, and a retainer in case I need to pick up more supplies for your piece. I'll send one to three sketches for your approval via email (and give you a maximum of three major revisions so we're not going back and forth forever) before moving on to the final, with at least one progress image around halfway through. Visual references and inspiration are highly, highly encouraged, the more the better!
Backgrounds are either blank or shaded gradient (pencils and ink wash) or a wash in a color suiting your drawing (painted color). Limited backgrounds, involving large props or a setting immediately around the character are an additional 50% of your price. Smaller props, such as weapons or held items, are included in the cost of your piece. I am not doing large, scenic backgrounds currently.
Turnaround is expected to be 2-3 weeks per piece after I begin work, depending on complexity, and I will do my best to honor that. However, I cannot offer hard guarantees due to this being a side gig and life being life. If I cannot for some reason finish your piece, or have taken a truly unreasonable amount of time to do so, we can discuss a refund. If you need a piece on short notice, please mention it before I accept your commission, and I may ask a rush fee if I feel it is necessary.
On completion of your art, I'll send you a Paypal invoice for the remainder of your payment. After I've received it, I will email you a high resolution scan (.jpg) of your piece—and mail out the original, if you decide to purchase it. With permission, I may post these online, with credit to you—but if you would rather I not, please let me know.
All of my work is traditional media—pens, pencils, paints. A physical copy of your art will exist, and can be sent to you for a flat $10 charge (for postage, packaging, and my time.) Pencils, which tend to smear, will be treated with a clear spray sealant, which may leave a noticeable spray paint odor. If you're sensitive to this please let me know, and I'll give your piece extra time to air out before mailing.
Hey y’all! I’m officially opening my patreon, where you can get access to sketches and wips, a private discord server, my advice and feedback on your own projects, streams of my work, and monthly commissions.
Hi Tumblr! I'm working on setting up a patreon, thought I'd share some of the art I'm doing for one of the tiers (why are my tiers not represented by a cute little creacher? I dunno, I wanted to do that but I'm doing something else instead and that's just how it goes apparently. I missed drawing Dixie, tho.)
It's still a bit of a wip, but I'm gonna post process pics and sketches at the lowest tiers so you can see the process of creating images like this throughout the week
I'm trying to get in the habit of taking screencaps and dumping them in a folder to post to Patreon at the end of the day, so you'll see my art a lot more regularly there, and at higher tiers, stream while I work on art throughout the week, hang out and chat, even review your own art pieces privately or as a group (voluntarily) and work together to fix any bits that aren't working, as well as monthly portraits for higher tiers, etc.
I'm working on getting all of my images and samples together but hopefully I'll have an announcement up by the end of the week!
Everyone thinking Joshua Graham is a villain is just probably ignoring the fact that his Karma is marked as good.
He isn't a villain, he's a man atoning for the monster he used to be. But some of you all just see bad mormon man.
His path to becoming better is religion, a fact some of you all disregard simply because it doesn't happen to be a religion that receives hate enough to call it a -phobia.
"He should regret by himself, not because of religion." Oh please, we all have a drive that causes us to strive to be better and for him it's his God, there's nothing wrong with that.
Oh and btw if by the end of the DLC he's still someone who prioritizes vengeance over forgiveness, that's on you bestie, you let him kill Salt Upon Wounds.
Joshua Graham is not a good fucking person and I don’t give a good goddamn if he’s atoning or not. No amount of repentance will ever absolve him from his wrong doings. He can try his hardest to be better but there are some things that cannot be erased and his creation/contribution to the legion secured his place in hell.
Also the karma system in New Vegas is fubar’d so it really should not be taken seriously.
OP, I will get to your weird assertion that the only reason we think Graham is a bad guy is because his religion isn't popular or marginalized enough? Or something? I'm not sure which way you're arguing that. But I'll get to it. Let's start with your assurance that he is atoning and is trying to change.
He provably, undeniably is not.
I have to say this every now and then for some reason but let's go through it once again from the top:
Graham is not helping the tribes of Zion. He is hiding behind them.
I say that because Graham is the only person the White Legs are after. Maybe the other New Canaanites, whatever, they've already been evacuated, it's only him and Daniel in Zion right now. And therefore, since the White Legs' mission is to kill Graham, he is also the only reason the White Legs are even in Zion.
If Graham actually wanted to help anyone it would in theory have been as easy as surrendering himself to save them (the one thing he won't try, by gum!) Jesus loves a martyr.
Instead he is taking over as warchief of a tribe in order to have them fight the White Legs on his behalf. He's got them staking heads on pikes outside their camps.
He claims to not find joy in killing but is hissing "YESSSSSSSSSSSS" like he just creamed as he wipes out White Legs.
By the end of his route he has the Dead Horses executing surrendered White Leg prisoners in a firing line as well as setting them on fire and kicking them off cliffs. You can literally see this happen as you enter the final canyon before you reach Salt Upon Wounds. Like, use your eyes and watch the character animations happening around you and think about them a little bit? Because.
Gee.
Golly
I wonder where he got the idea to do all that.
It's almost like he did it before. When he founded the Legion. Which he has absolutely no desire or intention of returning to fight against and try to help the Mojave. I mean, atonement would be very hard but the path to it is clear: Fucking go back and help dismantle the machine you built.
I've been on this rant for a couple years now and don't think I personally have ever heard anyone criticize him just because he's a Mormon -- valid criticisms of the church of latter day saints in general notwithstanding.
He's a bad guy because he has not made a single effort to actually change his stripes, he's just selling them to a new audience as meaning something other than what they do.
The entire DLC is him telling you that he's doing all this because it's righteous when it's all just a revenge trip. He plays the penitent sinner and the changed man to get you to go along with it while literally doing EVERYTHING he did in the Legion, unchanged, and just makes excuse after excuse to make you help him.
Even "the fire" that kept him alive being the love of his people was a lie, the fire inside him was his fucking egotistical rage at what was done to him.
Please replay the DLC and make note of every time Joshua Graham's actions do not match his words. Please think critically about whether the things he is doing are reflective of a changed man, and please learn to recognize an unreliable narrator and think critically about the media you consume because I'm real worried about some of y'alls real life character judgment, please love yourselves.
Hello again! My commissions are still currently open! My dumb ass did not include the link to my form on the post I was reblogging earlier today. :3 I'm tired.
You can request a slot here! If you would like just throw a few bucks my way, I also have a ko-fi!
And while I'm here, here is a piece I completed for one of my clients this morning!
hii i just devoured deserters au and all adjacent fics in like 2 days its so good idk if u have any recs for similar fallout fics (thematically or whatever)?
First off, thanks for reading! If you haven't read through the work of my coauthor @couriers-mile (McFearo on AO3) definitely start there.
Aside from that... Truth be told, I've been out of the Fallout fandom a long while and even when I was, was spending more time writing than reading. Nothing immediately comes to mind.
I'll toss this one to my followers for recs! Or rec yourself, I approve of shameless self promotion on this blog.
Semi-mystery peeps how delightful!!! Please post updates as they grow into their markings 👀
Also ough one-sided almost-confessions! There's so much drama building~
I WILL this is a chicken blog now. Bonus dirty boi falling asleep in a bath
And currently the two main warforged the party knows are being addressed as 'grandfather' and 'uncle' by said warlock. Said uncle tried to call them 'uncle' back as a gesture of affection and still hasn't figured out why it was funny.
@foxholemonster i aim only to get emotional engagement from my players. (Spoiler: Aegis might have said it back. Operator... Not so much. Their bafflement would win).
And YEAH the little beepers... They are an F2 Barnevelder/Malines cross, from a bunch i bought last year--though I'm not sure the guy i got them from didn't mean Marans, which are a little more common up here and they strongly resemble. They just don't have the size of the Malines, and i never saw the rooster that got in with his prized purebred barneys. So I look forward to seeing how these moderately inbred babies turn out, of the ten I'd love to see one with double lacing.
Long time no see!!! How are you, how the dnd campaign and the warforged!!!
HELLO i am doing okay in the larger scope of things, i just hatched a bunch of chickens. Have some chicken with perfect eyeliner.
D&D is going well, i have put my party in a sealed dungeon with a very goopy golem and i plan to be very mean to them tomorrow, true to form.
I have also apparently don't the cruelest thing possible, last session: cutting off communication between our warlock and the party's warforged patrons before she learned if they were going to say "i love you" back.
extra character: +$10 per character (up to four characters)
prices in usd - paypal or ko-fi only!
payment is 50% upfront and 50% when finished. i will provide watermarked, low-res progress pics for your approval or revisions; the finished pic will be high-res and non-watermarked for you to use in anyway you like, as long as it’s not in a commercial context and as an nft!!
if you're interested, just shoot me a message on here or send me an email at [email protected] :) thank you and have a great day today!!
Some Loox for my OC Jack "Progeny" Cordero. Updated the design of his vigilante costume a bit and added some civilian outfits, with varying levels of Casualness
I fixed a couple things that were bothering me with one of the outfits and did a look for Jack's living shadow Verus, or "Saint Seldom."
Verus shares Jack's tastes and interests and many of his values but is also deeply depressed and indifferent to his appearance so he dresses a bit more pragmatically in whatever feels cozy.
