I like to think of people like tacos. Hard tacos seem fine but break when you put them under pressure (like my depressed ass), and soft tacos can actually hold their shit together much more than the hard taco. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.

As a speech therapist/educator, I’m always trying to find simple techniques/explanations to help little kids process and understand their emotions and then teach them healthy ways to express themselves when they’re angry, frustrated, etc. I notice that telling them I deal with the same difficulties, like wanting to yell when I’m angry, goes a long way. Then they know what they feel isn’t weird BUT there are ways to handle their emotions that don’t hurt themselves or others.

I was in the mood for bloody Aubrey for some reason.

I know specialty make-up stores tend to let customers try samples of makeup and I wish stores like Walmart would let customers do that too. 1. I'm a broke ass college student that can't afford to buy makeup from a place like Sephora, and 2. One thing about being bi-racial (Native American/German descent) is that finding foundation can be a pain in the ass! I try to eye the colors of foundations to my skin tone, but I still end up going too light or too dark. I get that it's easier for cheaper stores to make money when you can't sample the make-up, but it still sucks. Sorry for the rant, but I'm just pissed.
