マフラーを編む🐻🧣(2020)

秋のおわりは、冬のはじまり。山の木々の葉っぱも緑から色が変わり次々に地面に落ちて、赤、黄、茶と地面が鮮やかになってきました。秋がもうすぐ終わる気配。この春に生まれたこぐまにとって、初めての冬がやって来ます。「ふゆってなあに？」ー冬はねぇ、お空から白い「雪」が降って、とても寒いのよ。ごはんもとれなくなってしまうから、「冬眠」をして暖かな春まで待つの。「なんだかよくわからないけど、はじめてで、なんだか『とうみん』がたのしみだな！！」編んでもらった手袋を手にはめて、こぐまは「とうみん」にわくわくしています。冬を楽しみにしているけど、雪すら見れないこぐまのために、せめて暖かく冬が過ごせるようにと、マフラーを編んでいます。一編み一編み大切に想いを込めて。クリスマスも眠っているけど、春に目覚めた時に渡す、サンタさんからのプレゼントも用意しています。開けた時に喜んでくれるかな？今日もまたお日様が出ている時間が短くなり、夜も虫たちの声が聴こえなくなり静かになりました。もうすぐ冬が来ます。おやすみなさい。春になったらまたたくさん遊ぼうね。

November 1, 2020: 200 hexipuffs!! Laying these out took more than twenty minutes and our entire coffee table. I’m SO happy with how this quilt is turning out. It’ll be a real heritage piece when it’s done, maybe I’ll be able to see it up this summer. Only 400 puffs to go!
