Hello I really love your art! Though I want to ask how were you able to find your art style because this is something I'm truly struggling with

Hi! Sorry for replying so late (also to everyone else in my inbox, haven’t been on tumblr for so long)

I don’t really have a clear answer for this because it’s just such an individual journey for everyone, but my advice is not forcing yourself too hard. For me it really just came naturally since my brain subconsciously “picked up” style elements from media and other artist’s art I liked, and later on I found myself somehow incorporating them into my own work. But still, the way I draw keeps evolving (and it’ll never stop) and that’s a great thing! Forcing yourself to develop a “style” can be really harmful though in my opinion, and often leads to even more frustration - Just keep it easy! Draw what makes you happy to draw, do lots of studies, consume and study others’ art and with enough time, you’ll find what’s “your” style soon enough! <3

Today marked the ‚official‘ beginning of the polar night in this part of the world, or mørketiden (lit. ‚the dark period‘) as norwegians call it! The next time we’ll see a sunrise here will be in about one and a half months, and as depressing as that may sound like I actually don’t find it bad so far - everyone seems so much more calm and there are cute lights everywhere which makes it the perfect time for stuff like reading or drawing!
