some advice i have for beginner artists is to draw stuff that is not serious and make absolute bullshit. memes and funny jokes are your friend! nobody expects perfection and greatness from something that is silly which means there is no room for harsh criticism and you can improve with no attention on how bad you think your art looks

i also think that even non beginners should do it to improve their confidence and help themselves feel happier about doing art

my friend tried to teach me some triangle shit which i never managed to fully understand. i am grateful even if i fucked up. they are sleeping now. i invented a new kind of triangle shortly after they went to bed that is sentient and alive and attacks maths students in their mind if they try to find its angles or lengths. it is capable of forming thoughts and opinions such as “triangles are a scam made by mathematicians so they can sell more protractors and rulers and shit” and “when im an older triangle with more degrees i want to get a job as a professional unicorn”. its name is simon
