Okay, I had to google most of what you just said. But sure, if I ever have enough wine for a bath then I’ll definitely try it.

Sleepy Time | FINCHEL

Rachel: "You can get one big rock, or get one customized and carved. I've seen cat ones I really like."' She grins up at him, "Or you can even get a salt bowl with rocks that sit inside it and you have the freedom to organize them how you want." Rachel shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know what kind of budget you are looking at but I could help you find one if you're interested in having one of your own." Rachel likes his attitude, a lot, it leaves her feeling fluttery. "Oh! You're so right. Except blue. That color is bad for you when you're trying to sleep. It's why looking at your phone or your computer an hour before bad is frowned upon. Facebook, tumblr, internet explorer- all blue." She hopes she isn't coming off too preachy she had a way of doing that and in this instance it really is for his own good. She happily sits on her mat and pats the mat beside her, hoping he'd take the hint. "Well I'm all ears. Reach down and touch your toes." She instructs softly, doing the actions as she said them, leading him through a routine that was supposed to help sleep and relaxation. She didn't see harm in doing things to help, but sometimes when things were really rough, these things didn't cut it for herself. She hopes they help him. "See, not so bad right? Not too strenuous. I usually stand up and shake it out." The small girl jumped to her feet and bent down touching her toes, letting her arms dangle, wiggling her hips a bit to loosen them.

Finn: listened as she spoke, "Do you like cats? I thought about getting one when I was younger, but then we found out I was allergic." He thought about the idea of getting one for himself, "I'll think about it, if it works well tonight then maybe I'll get one." Finn nodded, he had heard all about the "no electronics before bed" thing a lot, though he did tend to ignore it most of time. Maybe he'll consider trying harder to do it though, he'd hate for Rachel to come here and try to help him if he just ends up ignoring what she says. He went on the mat next to her and tried mimicking what she was doing and saying. He will admit he felt a little awkward, but honestly Finn feels a little awkward about doing most things. Trying to phrase his thoughts right, he started with a question. "Have you ever...omitted the truth? Like you're not exactly lying but you aren't telling the full truth of it?"

Okay, Finn. Just seems like a stressful thing to put yourself through you know? There’s always NyQuil PM. Or other sleep assistance drugs. 

Yeah, I know. This isn’t the first time I’ve had sleeping issues though, so I’ll bounce back in no time.

Tea is perfect for practically any occasion. They actually have a sleepy time tea that is quite fitting of it’s name. Let me know how it works for you. I understand, coffee isn’t for everyone. It took me some getting used to when I first started drinking it when I was sixteen. 

Oh. Yeah.. I don’t know what that was about. I like Sam as a friend…I don’t know why I said that, to be honest. Probably tired, that’s all.

Rachel brought some, it tastes...different? Not as bad as coffee but it’s definitely weird.

Tired, right. Well it sounds like everyone was falling in love with everyone else.

Sleepy Time | FINCHEL

Rachel: walks through the door and slips her shoes off. It doesn't take much for her to make herself at home, setting her bag on his bed, plugging in her diffuser and setting it up. "I figure this is the best to start off with and then the yoga?" Rachel looks to him for confirmation though she grabs her yoga mats and rolls them out anyways. "I also think you should invest in a Himalayan salt lamp. I've heard there are a lot of benefits in having one." She shrugs, tossing him a pair of yoga socks. "So you don't slip on the mat, sorry for the color." She can't help but laugh, though she firmly believes that beggars can't be choosers, though he isn't exactly begging by any means. "Is your mind heavy with thoughts? Maybe you can talk them out with me while we stretch?"

Finn: watched her come in and proceed to set her stuff up. He just gave a wordless nod while she rolled out the yoga mats, at the mention of the salt lamp he nodded once more. "A friend of mine has one, hers looked pretty cool." He caught the socks when Rachel tossed them, and shrugged at the following comment, "It's just to help me sleep right? Color shouldn't matter too much." He slipped them on as he spoke. He paused, his mom always told him that talking was good when you had problems, and he did like Rachel. But he wasn't sure how good he'll be at really saying what's on his mind. In the end his mom's advice won out and he grinned and nodded, "Sure, sounds like a good idea."

Oh well, video games are meant to engage your brain, so it makes sense that you can’t sleep.

Rachel came over with a whole bunch of stuff so I think one of them is bound to work. If not I may just end up replaying a bunch of games until I can’t keep my eyes open.

Sleepy Time | FINCHEL

Rachel: gathered supplies to help her friend sleep: yoga mat, two pairs of yoga socks, her unopened package of chamomile tea- in case Finn ended up liking it, and lavender and vetiver essential oils. Once she unplugged her diffuser and wrapped it up so it would be protected on her way over to his room she grabbed her bottle of lavender sleep mist for good measure and stepped out of her room. Her bag was slung over her arm and she took a breath, leaning against the door once she closed it, closing her eyes. She thought deeply about how she'd make it to his room, would not get caught. She believed she would make it safely, that no one would be on their rounds, and that it would work out. When she felt she'd believed hard enough the small brunette trekked over to Finn's dorm, knocking on the door loud enough to catch his attention. She supposes it wouldn't be awful if he'd fallen asleep since that was his problem but she needed the company. The day was confusing, she loved Kurt, Sebastian loved her, Joe was still missing, and Sam still sad. It all hurt her head and when the door swung open she smiled up at him. "Hey. I've come prepared!"

Finn: wasn't entirely sure what was the cause of his sleep problems. There were a few ideas; the missing students, homework, though the one that stuck out the most was his dad. He'd been telling people that his dad was just retired, or just not talking about him at all, for a while. He told Kurt, at the mixer, but he hadn't talked to him all that much since then. And he wasn't an expert on this sort of thing but he's starting to think these lies and "withholding of the truth" were starting to take a toll on him. He was glad that Rachel offered to come over with her oils and other sleep-help items and for the past couple of minutes he's been lying on his bed. He got off of it almost as soon as he heard the knock, and with a grin he opened the door. "Hey. I see that, come on in." He moved from the doorway so she can get inside.

I’m sorry Rachel! I just think it’s gross! I don’t know how people can drink it every day.

I mean… it’s kind of important which one you need. If you want to sleep, don’t drink caffeine. If you want to stay awake… get enough sleep. I meditate before bed sometimes. It’s mostly about breathing and clearing your mind and all that stuff. Joe would have great advice

I can’t even tell which one I need, dude. I normally just play video games until I’m super tired but I’ve run out of games to play. Maybe I’ll try out the meditation thing though.

Warm milk or tea is good for going to sleep. Coffee doesn’t wake me up as much as I think it used to. Mostly it just tastes good, I try decaf whenever I can since I can’t seem to get energy from drinking it. Thinking of Sam gets me through my day though. I don’t think I need coffee or even tea anymore.

That’s mark number two for tea, maybe I’ll end up trying it. I just don’t like coffee, something’s weird about it. Sam, huh?

I’ve never really tried yoga before, I don’t have any essential oils....and I don’t think I can even pronounce that last one. I don’t like coffee! I can’t really describe it but something about it tastes disgusting.

Does anyone have any tricks on getting to sleep? Or staying awake, I don’t care which one at this point. I tried having coffee the other day, but instead I just got reminded why I don’t drink coffee in the first place.

Nope, he’s all done with it. Well it’s a little easier to show you how it works, but it moves with you and I added this joystick that flips out so you can fly.
