My brother...

Hello to everyone and Assalāmu ‘alaykum warahmatullāhi wa barakātuhu to all my brothers and sisters.

I can’t string together the words without tears streaming down my face. My brothers body was recovered Al-hāmdu lilāh…but he no longer is with us. Allāh ﷻ has taken him. He passed away within a few minutes of drowning and his body was recovered over 24 hours later.

Inna Lillāhi wa 'inna ilāihi 'raji'un, to Allāh ﷻ (Surely we belong to Allah and to Him shall we return)

No words bring comfort to my heart and forever I will miss my brother. He taught me to be generous, to love, to value life and brought a constant smile to my face. My only comfort is knowing He is with Allāh ﷻ now and that In’ shā’ Allāh he is rewarded with the highest ranks of Jannat. Please have my and my family in your Duas, so we have the faith and patience to get through this difficult time. Especially for my mother, for raising a child she has now seen pass away before her very eyes….

I wish I had the energy to tell you more about my brother, but those are memories only I can now cherish. For anyone who has a sibling or loved one they could lose…you all can imagine the pain.

Lastly a big thank you to everyone, Muslims, non-Muslims for all your messages, prayers and Duas. From my very broken heart I pray Allāh ﷻ rewards you all for your kindness and generosity.

On a parting note I give the following, in that he has been granted Martyrdom:

Dying because of being crushed by a falling wall or by drowning, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The martyrs are five: the one who dies of plague, the one who dies of a stomach disease, the one who drowns, the one who is crushed by a falling wall, and the one who is martyred for the sake of Allaah.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 2829; Muslim, 1915.

Sometimes we all have to go missing, just to get steady on the grind, its not even about the money sometimes as it is to just do what you love.
