This is a callout post for the TSA agent who was incredibly thoughtful and concerned about me flying across the country all alone without an adult and wanted to make sure I knew how to go through security and felt safe and comfortable and explained that, as per the signs, children under 12 can keep their shoes on, and directed me specifically to another agent to help me so I wouldn’t be overwhelmed or afraid.

You were super sweet and kind, and the look on your face when I handed you my driver’s license and you realized I was 25 was priceless.

Like yes 13 and the TARDIS reuniting was ultimately sweet but it was also….like, objectively a bit hilarious when you remember how bicker-y couple-y they can be, like, after this last regeneration the TARDIS was done, changing again without permission?? Fire all over my console again?? TARDIS took a stand and dumped her loser thief right out into the stratosphere. Went and got herself a new paint job, redecorated the console all by herself with no imput, like it just comes across as when you have a bad breakup and immediately change your hair or go shopping to deal with it. Flew herself to some other planet and wasn’t stabilizing because she was emotionally unstable over this breakup - but then the Doctor shows back up all bright eyes and sweet smile and glowing compliments and after a few minutes the TARDIS just let’s her back in!! Even with the new strays!! Even made the Doctor breakfast!! This time machine is a goddamn lovesick FOOL for her idiot thieving nerd and I am weak for this ridiculous dynamic. We love an interspecies codependent disaster couple. Icons.

It’s Fathers Day so everyone SHUT UP just SHUT THE FUCK UP

I would like all you motherfuckers to remember that Data is the best damn father on the damn Enterprise-D. 

Seen here as the stand-in father at the birth of Troi’s weird-ass child in that weird-ass episode S2 E1 “The Child” and he’s fuckin NAILING IT

And here in S4 E11 “Data’s Day,” being the stand-in father-of-the-bride at Keiko’s wedding and doing a similarly fan-damn-tastic job

And here in S3 E16 “The Offspring” doing an absolutely kick-ass job with his own damn child that he made all by himself like the badass non-motherfucker he is

and here in S7 E19 “Genesis” with his fur-baby Spot that he incessantly refers to as his child so you better believe she’s goin’ in this motherfuckin’ list

and here in S2 E15 “Pen Pals” and S5 E11 “Hero Worship,” being the default dad to every forlorn child that comes on board the damn ship

because he’s the BEST, dammit. He’s the best and everyone knows it. He is gentle and communicative and attentive and sweet and honest and curious and strong and KIND as FUCK and he’s always TRYING HIS BEST, dammit. And that’s the kind of parental action I AGGRESSIVELY ENDORSE.
