These are all chemical sunscreens that don’t/barely have a white cast on darker skin.
You should also wear sunscreen indoors if you’re near a window. (Reapplying every 6 hours)
Let’s not forget Black Girl Sunscreen and Unsun (available at Target).
this coupled with the fact that melanoma is often diagnosed in black patients at much later stages than in other ethnic groups (source). the myth that people of color, especially those with dark skin, can’t get skin cancer is a myth and it leads to so many preventable deaths. always check for skin abnormalities, and do not take “no” for an answer at the doctor’s office if they refuse to screen you for cancer under the same false assumption that melanoma isn’t something to worry about if you’re dark skinned.
