i love the infinite multiverse theory bc that means there’s a universe where ive pulled every single fire alarm ive ever seen
I once explained multiverse theory to my drunk husband and he said “Wait wait wait...You mean to tell me there’s a universe out there in which the other me doesn’t believe I exist? That dick!”
It's the Season of Witchcraft so some things for baby witches ☆
• Witchcraft isn’t something you have to do all the time. Sure, magic is always with you if you allow it but you don’t constantly have to do spells or whatever because it’s your magic and your time. • There’s no lifetime pact. If you want to give it up, it’s 100% okay, nobody should judge you over it. • Not every book of shadows/grimoire/etc. looks fancy, so don’t feel intimidated • Cultural appropriation my guys. It’s a thing. • Anything can symbolize anything if that’s what you associate it with. Cultural differences in symbolism doesn’t mean one is more correct than the other. I mean like, I use super glue to “seal my intent” • Not everything is an omen • You don’t need to pray to a god you don’t believe in. You don’t have to be Wiccan or Pagan to be a witch. There are loving Christian/Jewish witches that exist if that’s what you are comfortable with. • You don’t have to buy everything, especially not some expensive ass stones just to be seen as a real witch • All you have to do in order to be a Real Witch is just to say that you’re a witch. That’s it. Bippidy boppidy boo ☆ • Some witches on Tumblr? Hella rad. Others? Can be a bit on the iffy side, so don’t feel compelled to follow every witch blog if you’re not comfortable with someone • Read up on safety! What herbs are ingestible? What can I burn? What stones are safe to put in drinkable potions? Look it up before you hurt yourself, darlings. • If you live with or around people who you think won’t tolerate magic and witchcraft, please be safe. Your safety is important above all else. • Have fun with your magic and be comfortable with it, because at the end of the day that’s what it’s all about ♡

Witchy mental health tip
Offer up your excess energy built up from anxiety or unwanted negative energy from depression to the deity of your choice, on the condition that they take it immediately and leave you feeling stable and content.
“to be a witch” falsehoods
there are a lot of misconceptions going around lately on what someone needs to be a witch, i just want to clear some up.
you do not need:
fancy tools - or any tools at all, really. all you need is yourself and your intent. sure, tools that fit your aesthetic are nice, but you don’t need them. if you have the ability to buy and you want to, there’s no stopping you, but please don’t feel like you have to go out and buy yourself an etsy broom or a cauldron. and don’t stress yourself out over making one either! they are but trappings.
appearance - in witchy aesthetic photos, it’s usually a slim, white girl with long hair. and that lack of a more diverse representation can give the impression that you need to look and be a certain way, but please know it is untrue. it does not matter what your race, weight, hair, or anything looks like.
aesthetic - you don’t need to dress “like a witch”. a witch can look like anything. if you want to indulge in the black cat, black clothes look, fine, but you don’t need to confine yourself to it if it’s not your thing, you can look like whatever you want to.
gender - there are some in the community that will fight tooth and nail to make it seem you have to be a cis female to call yourself a witch. don’t listen to those terfs. anyone can be a witch, regardless of gender. male, non-binary, agender, trans, demi, etc.
black cat - you don’t need a black cat. you don’t need to have a familiar either. those are unique relations that should not be forced to happen
dark, mystical attitude - you don’t need to suddenly start talking like chaucer or put effort into having an air of mystery. you don’t need to be holier than thou, or act like you know it all. witchcraft is a journey that takes time to learn.
cursing - no, you don’t need to curse. but you don’t need to shame someone for cursing either.
on a spiritual path - witchcraft does not have to be spiritual! you can practice magic without having to worry about being “spiritual enough”, because each craft is unique and deeply personal, you don’t need to force it to be something that you’re not invested in.
religious - there are many witches that wonder where the power comes from if they don’t call upon a god. the power can come from you. you do not need to devote yourself to a god
wiccan - wicca is not the only way to do witchcraft, it is only one way of practicing magic. there are many people who think the only way to do witchcraft is to be wiccan, but they are misinformed. if you do not want to work with wiccan influences or traditions, you do not have to.
initiated - some practices, some traditions, initiation is needed. however, to be a witch in general, you don’t need to go through any ritual to prove yourself one. be wary of those who insist you do, they are often trying to take advantage of new witches.
straight/cis - some traditions you’ll encounter have homophobic roots/influences. while it is discouraging, you dont have to listen to those, or you can work with others to rework phobic traditions
a “natural” witch - some people will claim to have “witch’s blood” or “the flame”, meaning witchcraft has been in their families for generations. this does not make them superior or more of a witch than you. anyone who wants to be a witch can, no matter their birth circumstances.
labelled - a lot of witches label their craft, “herb witch”, “space witch”, “storm witch” etc. you can be as many as you want, or none if it pleases you. you do not need to label your craft however. some people can’t put their craft in a box.
td;lr, you do need:
to want to be a witch
your intent
that’s it! happy casting!
YAS! There are so many ‘sub genres’ of witch. My husband jokingly called me a kitchen witch a while back and what do you know? It’s TOTALLY a thing! I read up on kitchen witches and it totally fits me as a person. Most kitchen witches are in the ‘broom closet’ and hide their tools in plain sight in their kitchen and draw power from cooking (at least that’s what I read). As someone rejoining the craft after many years away this was reassuring to me as I had no idea how I would ‘fit in’ with other witches/pagans in my community who. I’m a minority who dresses eclectically and didn’t think I ‘could’ be a witch due to some if the above statements. Turns out I have a natural knack for kitchen witchery ;) There’s not a day that goes by where at least half my day is spent in the kitchen. That is my sacred space and you better not dirty it up! Some day I will get out of the broom closet and loudly proclaim “I am a witch!”
Charged water trade?
I was forgetful and forgot to lie out some water to charge under the supermoon, and I really need some for a special project I’m doing for a dear friend of mine. I have some pretty wicked storm charged Blk (the brand) water that I’d be willing to trade in exchange
It’s too late now obvi but I was told that doing it the day before or after works just as well. We’re on day too of waxing gibbous? I always forget the names. I put some out last night in hopes of charging my water :)
Water is actually poisonous when pure. Only when it touches nitrogen in the air does it become drinkable. This is why you should never, ever drink when submerged in a pool or body of water.

DAYUM Son!
I’m a shitty mom
I’ll admit it. I am a shitty mom. Why? Bc I hide in my room all day from my toddler. Not intentionally, but I still do it. I get up every morning, get ready for class, (sometimes) make breakfast for me and or my toddler and head out the door at about 850. I’m gone most days until about 130 bc that’s how the buses run around here. By the time I get home from my bus I’m tired. Tired as hell. I (usually) haven’t eaten bc I literally have 0 appetite most days. My toddler sees me home and immediately wants to play with me. I tell her to let me get a snack, try not to vomit it up, almost never works, and try to take a nap and get rid of my stomach ache and then we’ll play. This almost never happens. I know I should eat, but I’m too weak to make food so I grab some leftovers or a piece of fruit and pray I can keep it down. Lately, I’ve been vomiting almost everything I eat (I’m not Prego, I’m on reliable BC). Usually I just get stomach aches. But now it’s worse. I just ly in bed in pain and eventually start beating myself up for not getting out of bed to hang out with my kid. Beating myself up for letting her watch so much TV. She usually won’t see me until dinner and even then I’m such a kitchen nazi that I often yell at her to get out of my way. Making me feel even worse. My husband wrangles her while I cook and then we attempt to eat as a family. After which I go back to lying down with my heating pad. Sometimes I go to sleep early. Most nights I do lately bc I’ve been having trouble sleeping due to the fact that I’ve been having tremors in my sleep that wake me up. I can hear my hand rattling against my pillows. I’m such light sleeper. So it starts all over again. I’m tired from the time I wake up until the time I go to sleep. Each day, I contemplate skipping class and or dropping out. Each day this continues, I feel worse about it. My husband assures me I’m not a bad mom, even though I’m bawling my eyes out that I am. On the weekends, sleeping in helps a bit, but I still feel bad bc I’m not up playing w her or making pancakes. My husband stays up w her most nights bc she is still getting used to sleeping in her own room and own bed, so he’s not up until around noon sometimes and can’t help. When I finally wake up, I’m a zombie. I make vague promises that we’ll go out later, but I know it probably won’t happen. I feel bad about it and it creates more anxiety for me. I’m such a shitty mom, How could I ignore her so much. Being an empath doesn’t help either bc I feel bad FOR her an feel bad about what I’m doing. Then the anxiety triggers my various health issues, making them worse and thus it becomes cyclical. The lactic acid starts to build up in my arms and legs, my gag reflex becomes so sensitive I can throw up if I swallow my own saliva ‘wrong’, I get light headed, get chills and a sudden fever. Most days I wake up tired and my body feels like it’s been worked out past it’s potential. I can barely lift my arms and legs out of bed.
I have IBS, ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, OCD, Tic disorder, PMDD, GAD, Panic disorder, Premenstrual migraines and who knows what else pending my Drs visit next week to look into the constant vomiting and sleep tremors.
Sometimes I feel like a shitty mom. But does that mean that I am? No, it doesn’t. I have legitimate reasons to be in bed most of the time. I really only get out of bed to cook, bc I love cooking, tending to personal hygiene, prior responsibilities, or my husband suggest we go to the store (he knows getting out of the house w some one on one time usually helps). I’m sure my story isn’t too uncommon.
Even if you’re not a mom, or a student. I’m sure many of you spoonies or people w mental health issues can relate even slightly. You may feel bad for skipping a friends’ party due to stomach issues or calling into work bc you have a panic attack and feel these are not legitimate excuses. Don’t feel bad bc your invisible ailment is keeping you from living your full potential. Take care of yourselves and you’ll find that things might get better, may be not 100% but better. Sometimes you NEED to call off work and skip a party to take care of yourself and take a bubble bath or binge something on Netflix while lying in your bed. Sometimes you need more than a day. And that’s ok!
I may never feel like I’m the most ace mom there is, but I know eventually I’ll figure out how to deal. May be this is temporary. May be I’ll start to feel better soon. I definitely feel better than I did a few years ago, or at the very least have better coping skills than I used to and with continued help from my various Drs I will continue to gather more and better ways to self care.
