I am a firm Frisk is Chara is Kris believer and theres two things i want to mention about Kris' character.
First off i interpret the story of Chara/Frisk as a story of rebirth, growing and becoming something new. After all the trauma that Chara endured that made them what they are, with the power of their soul and the players influence they are able to try again, in the true pacifist ending they succeed at becoming a new person - Frisk.
Now, i think that Kris is the deltarune counterpart of Chara and that they will grow in the same way, maybe not as drastically as the literal rebirth happening in undertale, becoming someone absolutely new, but in the more earthly teenager-growing-up way.
Kris shares with Chara lots of traits - liking chocolate (not anymore..? i will talk about it in a while), being the adopted child of the Dreemurrs, wearing Asriels hand me downs(!), complicated relationship with their own humanity compared to the monster kind, and obvious early experienced trauma and mental issues.
This gets us to the first thing i wanted to mention about Kris. I dont know how common this is in the fandom, ive never seen this statement made before, but the adoption of Kris by the Dreemurrs was not something that was planned by them. They didnt plan to adopt a human child, this decision was made in an impulse, because whatever happened to Kris before, they couldnt leave a child in the situation it was in. And this previous trauma plus the loving and trying but not exactly prepared environment caused Kris to be like they are now. Another important thing are the hand me downs, considering this and other things, its safe to assume that the Dreemurrs were not the most wealthy, not in a way that they wouldnt be able to provide acceptable conditions for 2 children, but i think its still showing that it was not a planned decision.
But now, lets take a look at the *Frisk* parts of Kris. The chocolate thing is something i still dont entirely understand, since Kris both reacts badly to eating chocolate even though its said by several people they used to love it, but is also the person gaining the most hp by eating chocolate in the dark world, but anyway, we also know Kris is currently fond of pie, which i would say connects to Frisk, they flirt a lot, which is one of the not many character traits that we were able to see of Frisk in undertale, and finally, the entire point of this post, the colors.
Ive seen people debunking the Frisk is Chara ('s body in that case) theory using the argument that how and why would the shirt colors change?
Well i think it works perfectly in what i said before about Chara becoming someone new, they no longer have the Asriel's old shirt, they are on a path of growing into something more, wearing their own new colors of blue and pink.
Blue and pink, colors of Kris' dark world form, in which they are free to express themselves Many people already have mentioned the variety of Kris' oufits in the dark world compared to the lack of their own style wearing the not-their-own clothes in the light world, and if the dark world represents what they truly want, the process of growing into the "blue and pink" is present in Kris.
The last thing i must mention about this is of course the drink scene with Ralsei in chapter 5. Ralsei expresses the desire to get the blue and pink drink even though its "reserved" by Kris. I am fully for the interpretation of this as proof for transfem Ralsei, as it is symbolic of *becoming yourself*. Kris since the beginning in the dark world has the ability to be themselves (in Kris' case the blue and pink look also might be a reference to gender), but Ralsei is still struggling. The other drink option instead of blue and pink is green and yellow - the light world Kris not-their-own clothes colors(!), which then would be "reserved" for Ralsei (symbolizing the forced conformity in parallel to light world Kris?). With the maaany possible dialogue options that keep Ralsei as a tool (also very important to mention Kris wasnt too fond of Ralsei in the first 2 chapters! which obviously isnt the case as of the next ones (but its very interesting to think about)), that choice of what drink to give Ralsei is another case of deciding that Kris might back off a little to give someone who never had a chance to be who they want to be a try.
I really hope that if there is a good ending for Kris in deltarune, they will be wearing blue and pink in it.
