So I made a thing... For Build Newcrest Legacy 3.0.

I'm going to try to play it on twitch... and maybe upload videos to youtube?

I'm actually having a lot of fun limiting my packs. It's fun to kind of go back to the beginning with just a few of the early packs and appreciate how much more there is in the base game now.

I was looking for a more recent version of this challenge and couldn’t find it so... here we are!

General Rules:

Avoid gameplay cheats.

Complete generation aspiration, build(s), and goals before moving on to the next generation.

The heir moves to a new lot at the start of the generation. Move again if multiple builds are expected for that generation.

The goal is to build Newcrest, but many of the newer packs have world specific locations, so travel for aspirations, high school, college, or work is allowed.

Feel free to use the gallery for builds!

Generation 1: Hungry Herbalist

Your founder is at the start of a long journey, but what is a community without an outdoor space to share?

Aspiration: Freelance Botanist

Build: Park

Pick any lot in Newcrest. This will be the Park when you finish generation 1.

Career Options for the Founder:

Gardener (Botanist)

Self-Employed (Gardener)

Generation 2: Friendly Family

What does it take to build a community? More families is a start!

Aspiration: Big Happy Family

Build: 1 Starter Home, 1 House that’s worth less than 40,000 Simoleons, 1 Residential Rental with each unit worth between 10,000 and 20,000 Simoleons (pick 2) 

Career Options for the Heir:

Detective

Freelancer

Painter

Scientist

Rental Owner

Handyperson

Generation End: Move 2 families into the homes or units created during this generation.

Generation 3: Steadfast Student

Whether they had a formal or informal education, your heir knows that the community deserves a bastion of books and knowledge.

Aspiration: Academic or Bestselling Author

If you don't have Discover University, pick Bestselling Author.

Build: Library

Career Options for the Heir:

Law

Education

Engineer

Writer (only with Bestselling Author!)

Goal: Reach level 10 in your career

Generation 4: Gifted Gourmand

Education is all well and good, but your heir believes food is the heart of a community.

Aspiration: Master Chef

Build: Café, Restaurant, Retail, Thrift and Bubble Tea Store (pick 2)

Career Options for the Heir:

Culinary (Chef)

Critic (Food)

Self-employed (Food Stand, Restaurant, or Retail)

Generation 5: Hysterical Historian

Honoring the past with a light heart, your heir brings levity to even the hardest subjects.

Aspiration: Archaeology Scholar or The Curator

If you don't have Jungle Adventure, pick The Curator.

Build: Museum

Career Options for the Heir:

Critic (Arts)

Entertainer (Comedian)

Self-employed (Archeologist or Collector)

Goal: Exhibit your artifacts (Jungle Adventure) or collectibles in the museum.

Generation 6: Lucky Lineage

Looking at all that’s come before, your heir can only dream of the greatness that’s to come.

Aspiration: Super Parent or Successful Lineage

If you don't have Parenthood, pick Successful Lineage.

Build: 2 Houses between 40,000 and 150,000 Simoleons

Career Options for the Heir:

Stay-at-home parent (making money from hobbies is encouraged!)

Generation End: Move 2 families into the homes created during this generation.

Generation 7: Pleasant Partier

What is life without living!? Your heir is determined to bring some excitement to the community.

Aspiration: Party Animal

Build: Bar, Karaoke Bar, Lounge, Nightclub (Pick 2)

Career Options for the Heir:

Entertainer (Musician)

Style Influencer (Trendsetter)

Social Media (Internet Personality)

Goal: Reach level 10 in your career

Generation 8: Benevolent Busybody

With such an illustrious history in Newcrest, it only makes sense that your heir would would be involved in everything.

Aspiration: Leader of the Pack or Neighborhood Confidante 

If you don't have Get Together, pick Neighborhood Confidante.

Build: Recreation Center or Pool
