I’ve said before I don’t get why queer Christians / Muslims exist but something I especially don’t understand is Trans Christians / Muslims, especially given the shit happening these days

Like, most of the transphobia getting peddled today is pushed by Christian figures like M@tt Walsh, the entire trump admin, etc., and Muslim figures like Andrew Tate. And not just “mild” or casual transphobia but actual conspiracy theories and shit.

And yet there are trans ppl who still cling to the systems that very much want to kill them???

I can at least understand trans Jewish people because (as someone explained to me before) regarding Judaism the scriptural stuff just isn’t used as heavily against groups like queer people. But with Christianity and Islam both of those religions actively want to kill all trans people, and the theology backs it up.

It’s just baffling, it’s like a sheep helping a wolf hoping they wouldn’t get slaughtered.
